Welcome to Maison des Bois! Located at the gates of the Morvan Regional Natural Park, our renovated residence offers you a peaceful setting, in the heart of a century-old forest. With 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and extensive stone terrace, our house can accommodate up to 14 guests. Also enjoy the forest garden for relaxing alfresco moments. The space Located at the gates of the Morvan Regional Natural Park in Burgundy, our house is nestled in the heart of a forest with centuries-old trees. Here, only birds and deer will disturb your tranquility. This is an ideal home for your holiday with family or friends, for an event to celebrate or for a corporate seminar. You are here in a family home, which we cherish and are very happy to share with you. It also explains why you can find some personal belongings on the premises. Fully renovated, our large house consists of a large double living room with large fireplace and wood stove, a dining room with a table for 14 guests and a large fully equipped open plan kitchen. On the ground floor, two double bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms. On the garden level, a large games room with billiards, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the first floor, a TV area, reading and children's games under the large glass roof, a children's room with a bunk bed, a double bedroom and a shower room in between. Finally, on the same floor, an extensive master suite with queen size bed, crib and changing table, as well as a bathroom with shower and bathtub. In total, 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms in the house. We can also provide you with an extra umbrella bed. The exterior, meanwhile, consists of an expansive forest garden as well as a large stone terrace in front of the house on the south side, which can accommodate your meals in the sun for sunny days. We open and prepare the rooms according to the number of guests. Linens and towels are extra (€10/room). Area is a wonder. On the program: Canadian forests, hilly landscapes, Vezelian vines and authentic Burgundian cuisine. The house is alone at the entrance to the forest, but you are a 10 minute walk from the charming village of Montillot, where you can buy bread in the morning. A 10-minute drive away, you'll discover the exceptional village of Vezelay, a Unesco World Heritage Site, with its majestic basilica - a major illustration of Romanesque architecture - and its picturesque alleys. This is one of the starting points for the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Next door is the village of Saint-Père, its vines, its salt fountains and its beautiful Gothic church. You can also discover the small town of Avallon, the chateau of Bazoches or go swimming in the great lakes of Morvan or in the river Cure. We look forward to sharing our little paradise with you!
