Hotel Arcadia: Unique Downtown Apt

Awesome modern-design, newly remodeled apt in historic downtown building with 70" HD TV/gaming setup, fun kids loft, pinball machine and four arcade games on free play. This is a companion lodging to the world-class Arcade Museum literally next door. Based on 6+ years of Airbnb reviews and suggestions, we extensively remodeled this space again in early 2022, almost doubling the square footage and adding 2 bedrooms, new bathroom, laundry facilities, and full kitchen and dining area. The space Come and stay in the Original Hotel Arcadia - this is the space that started it all back in 2015! We promise that you will never find another place like this. It was designed and remodeled in 2015 to be a companion lodging for visitors to Arcadia: America's Playable Arcade Museum, which is literally next door. We put the same passion and effort into this place as we did the museum. Then, in early 2022, based on 6+ years of Airbnb reviews and suggestions, we remodeled the place again, almost doubling the square footage and adding 2 new bedrooms, new bathroom, laundry facilities, and made the kitchenette into a full kitchen. You enter a large front room with a free real arcade game, a huge 70" Internet-connected HD TV, comfy sleeper couch, dining table and laptop area. Doors in the rear access a nice, newly remodeled full bathroom and the unique rear section of the apartment. The rear section has a beautiful full kitchen with stone tile counter, 12' ceiling, exposed brick wall, and a modern spiral staircase to a kids' loft. The kitchen has everything you would need to make a meal or stay for an extended period. The kids' loft has a couch that can fold out to sleep two kids (sheets/pillows provided. not big enough for adults though - just two kids), a 50" HD TV for streaming movies, TV, and playing games. Next to the kitchen there is an awesome game room with 3 authentic arcade videogame cabinets that will allow visitors to play over 600 classic games for FREE. There is also the #1 ranked Addams Family pinball machine available with 10 free plays, (25 cents per play after that just to limit the wear and tear on this valuable item). Beyond the kitchen / loft / gameroom area, we have added 2 new bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. These rooms have 60" TVs. We have attempted to make these two bedrooms as "sound proof" as possible by constructing the walls and ceilings with sound proofing techniques. Between the two new bedrooms is a new laundry machine in the hallway for those of you staying for an extended period. Wood / tile floors throughout; new modern furniture; beautiful view of the large city park directly across the street in front. This place is truly unique. Note: Hotel Arcadia will accommodate 8 people, but keep in mind that there are just two beds (one full, one queen). The other two sleeping areas are a full-sized sleeper couch in the front room, and a smaller kids' sized sleeper couch in the loft. 8 adults would be uncomfortable sleeping here. The kids' sleeper couch will only be comfortable for kids or adults under about 5' 4". Guest access Guests have full exclusive access to the entire apartment. It has four real full-sized arcade games that are on free play. All contain multiple games, so you can choose from over 800 game titles. The apartment also has the #1 rated pinball: Bally's The Addams Family. It starts with 10 free plays, but after that is costs only one quarter per play (to limit wear and tear). Guests will have the option to access Arcadia: America's Playable Arcade Museum, which is right next door, during their stay. Regardless of Arcadia's regular, normal hours, if you would like to go to Arcadia during your stay, simply prearrange it with us and we will have Arcadia open for you. Arcadia and the neighboring Pinball Paradise have over 140 classic and modern arcade games and pinball machines that are playable for 25 or 50 cents. Visitors have traveled from all over the world to experience Arcadia, which has been open weekly since 2009! We are constantly planning and executing expansions and adding features and attractions, so there will probably be more available when you come than I have detailed here. Other things to note McLean is a very safe, friendly town. Be prepared to be greeted by strangers on the sidewalk. It's a nice town to go for an evening stroll. You can leave your car unlocked and your windows down without fear of harm. Think Mayberry.
