Casa Alberto is a typical Andalusian, more than 100-year-old and completely renovated in 2023 village house with a swimming pool, in the middle of the lively village of Monda. For lovers of the real Spain, Monda offers the best of both worlds. An authentic Andalusian village, away from the mass tourism and located on the edge of the protected nature reserve Sierra de las Nieves and at the same time at an acceptable driving distance from Marbella (20 min) and Málaga (40 min). The space Through the double wooden front door you can step into the cozy living room with open connection to the dining room.. For extra light, there is a playful loft. On the ground floor you will also find a bedroom with en-suite bathroom and the kitchen. From the kitchen you enter the intimate patio with a bistro set with four chairs and an umbrella and access to the laundry room with washer and dryer. Behind it is the backyard, equipped with a terrace of 40 m2, a pérgola of 3x2m and a mini swimming pool to cool off. Here you will also find two sunbeds and an outdoor table with 6 chairs. On the upper floor, you enter two additional bedrooms and the second bathroom via a spacious landing. Through the back bedroom you can go to the sunny roof terrace (especially in the winter months!), equipped with two sunbeds, from where you have a magnificent view of, among other things, "Castillo de Monda". Although the indoor climate is stable due to the sometimes almost a meter thick walls, all bedrooms as well as the living/dining room are air-conditioned for cooling or heating. In the living room there is also a pellet stove (the bags of pellets are not included in the rental price!) for extra warmth and coziness. The kitchen has all modern conveniences such as a built-in oven, dishwasher, espresso machine and an induction cooktop. The entertainment is provided by a flat-screen TV with chromecast and two Sonos speakers. The house is accessible by car, convenient for unloading luggage. Parking is a little further in the street or in the parking lot 250 m away from the house. The typical Andalusian white village of Monda is lively and has several bars. In some of them, you can also eat well. If you want to eat at a literal and figuratively higher level, you can do so in the restaurant or the bar/roof garden of the Castillo de Monda. There you will be rewarded with an insanely beautiful view. There are various shops in Monda, including a real supermarket, a good butcher, baker and various grocery stores. On Tuesdays is the weekly market with, among other things, a lot of fruit and vegetables in the central car park. So that day, park the car elsewhere! Monda is an active village and organizes many events on an annual basis. The main events are the Semana Santa with the impressive Easter processions and the traditional Feria, a party for young and old, for 4 days around the 15th of August. Keep in mind that some evements, especially the Feria, also produce noise in addition to a lot of coziness;) Guest access The whole accommodation is for private use. It is a house in the middle of the village. Neighbors may be able to see from their roof terrace in the backyard. Other things to note Groups of young people will not be admitted. The house is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility due to the various stairs. Bags of pellets for the pellet stove are not included in the rental price and must be purchased by yourself.
