The space Situated in the Hertfordshire countryside, our unique Airbnb offers a one-of-a-kind experience where you can reconnect with the wild whilst enjoying some modern comforts. Hike woodland trails, revel in meadow filled butterflies, and encounter a range of wildlife, from red & roe deer to foxes, rabbits, and even a few elusive white harts. You’ll notice the birdsong that fills the air and from the bell tent you can spot kites, buzzards, and owls, while woodpeckers, swallows, and a wide range of bird’s dance through the trees. You will also experience sightings of bees, moths, butterflies and bats which add to the attraction. Explore a local network of footpaths, bridle paths, and biking tracks direct from the retreat. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a couple seeking some time away, or a family looking for a bonding trip, our retreat offers a mix of relaxation and adventure. Guest access During your stay at our retreat, you'll enjoy access to various delightful areas. The charming bell tent is surrounded by picturesque butterfly meadows. Unwind around the fire pit for a calm evening and experience the sunset in peace. Additionally, you're welcome to explore the fields and meadows on our property, which seamlessly transition into a network of trails, historic Roman roads, and tree-covered footpaths that meander through the surrounding countryside. These pathways lead to quaint local pubs, inviting farm shops, and charming villages, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in the authentic rural experience. Other things to note A Firepit / Grill is provided for your convenience, perfect for cooking up delicious meals. Please note that additional charcoal / fire wood is available at an extra cost. For a special treat, book a 2-hour session in our orchard sauna for £20 per person. For those seeking adventure, we have a range of on and off-road bikes which can be hired at an additional cost. We are off grid so bring a power pack with you to charge your phone or other electronics. There isn’t a fridge in the tent area so bring a cool box - we can refreeze ice packs for you during your stay.
