Description
Alexandra Ainsworth estate/ Rowley way is a 1960s brutalist behemoth beauty. Built by well-known British architect Neave Brown. Situated in ideal location just off Abbey Road, within walking distance off of St. Johns Wood and Primrose Hill. A short bus ride also to Notting Hill, Camden High Street or right into the centre of town where Oxford Street, Leicester Square, Soho and Covent Garden await. Not only that Paddington Station, King’s Cross St. Pancres and Euston are all easily accessible. The space One bedroom flat with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors leading out to a large private balcony. Guest access All Other things to note Some of the quirks of the flat: The heating and cooling throughout the flat is regulated via sliding windows and doors. The hot water in the flat is very hot, so be sure to mix taps with a good amount of cold water . The hot water comes to the flat via a large immersion heater therefore it is not entirely continuous. You will get at least two short showers or one long shower or one little bath. You will then need to wait 15 to 25 minutes before the hot water comes on again. The flat does back onto a large railway line but you are pretty high up and away from the trains, and of course windows can be closed to minimise any unwanted noise. On the plus side there are simply no roads within earshot so no beeping horns, buses or screaming scooters! Very rare in London! The flat overlooks lots of trees and there are exclusive designated green spaces for residents to explore, complete with play areas for kids.
