Bright Little Studio Apartment
Bright Little Studio Apartment
Description
Welcome to our cozy, compact micro-studio apartment with private entrance and cute balcony! Located on a leafy residential street in North Seattle, we are pleased to provide affordable accommodations just a 13-minute drive from the University of Washington (Seattle campus) and a 20-30 minute drive to downtown Seattle (depending on traffic). The space Clean, compact, furnished attic micro-studio in our house in north Seattle. The space has sloped attic ceilings and is quite small (around 200 square feet, or 18.5 square meters), but also very cozy, comfortable, and private. Lots of natural light keeps the space feeling serene. There is a set of outdoor stairs that lead to a landing (small balcony) and the separate apartment entrance. Our active family lives downstairs. NOTE: SLOPED CEILINGS....we like to make sure guests are okay with this structural aspect before booking. As this studio was built into our attic, ceilings are sloped, with the bed, loveseat, and dining table under the sloped parts, so all guests (especially taller people) should be aware of this. Watch your head! ALSO NOTE: HOUSE NOISE....the walls of this apartment are shared with our family living space, and this is a kid-friendly neighborhood. Please know that guests will likely hear muffled sounds of doors/voices/kids activity from our home on weekday mornings starting around 6:30-8am as our family gets ready for the day. With rare exceptions, our home is generally quiet after about 9pm. Also, guests will likely hear kids playing in the neighborhood, on and off. Our home and neighborhood are generally quiet after dark. If you are a light sleeper or tend to sleep in late, we do recommend that you bring ear plugs or a white noise machine just in case that's needed. Noise is *not* an issue for the vast majority of our guests, but we like to make sure you are comfortable with this aspect before you book. :) FOOD PREP AREA: small kitchenette unit has everything you need to brew your morning coffee, make breakfast, and keep snacks and drinks cold. For bigger meals, we recommend the Seattle restaurant scene. FURNISHINGS: There is one full-size (double) bed with a night stand next to it, a small and comfortable two-seater love seat, and a dining table with seating for two. GETTING AROUND: It's best to have a car for truly exploring Seattle and our beautiful natural surroundings. Our neighborhood is somewhat car-dependent. That said, we are located close to the Northgate light rail station and walking distance to numerous amenities, including Safeway, QFC, Pinehurst Laundromat, Pinehurst Pub, Zylbertschtein's Deli & Bakery, Enat Ethiopian Restaurant, Loxicha Mexican Food Truck, Chaiyo Thai Restaurant, KJ's Coffee, Bark Espresso (dog-friendly), Nori Presto (teriyaki and sushi), and more. You can also get around by bus (although expect a 15-20 minute walk to bus stops, with some steep hills and possible bus transfers). Again, we are close to the Northgate Transit Center, with an a light rail to downtown and Seatac Airport, and a 13-minute drive from the University of Washington (Seattle campus). NOTE FOR DOG OWNERS: we welcome your fine furry friends (no cats, please) based on trust and hospitality. Low/no-shed breeds strongly preferred. No shedding on bedspread or furniture please! Please keep doggies off the bed and furniture...when they shed it can cause a cleaning hassle :). We provide a doggy bed, or you can use your own. Please see our house rules on that. Doggie guests are welcome to use the grass strip next to the apartment steps as a restroom; there are garbage bins on the other side of the house for depositing dog poop bags. Our neighborhood is great for walking doggies, and there are some great off-leash dog parks nearby (Magnuson and Northacres). Guest access Street parking is available.
