Quinta Teca (translates to Teak Country house) is an air-conditioned country-style private home, with two private pools. One pool is shallow, perfect for soaking, for children and for seniors. The second pool is deeper, ideal for a refreshing swim. The house is in a wooded area surrounded by teak trees, where white-faced capuchin monkeys love to come to visit. It is inside the exclusive community of Opera Salvaje, just a 7-minute drive from the surfing village of Playa Hermosa and 15 to Jacó. The space Quinta Teca's design is inspired on old Spanish architectural forms and elements. Roofs are covered in rustic Nicaraguan clay tiles that have weathered beautifully. All house rooms are connected by a single sky lighted hallway that starts at the house entrance. The covered balconies off the living room and Master Bedroom are complemented by thick wooden pillars and offer seating that allow for outdoor living and the contemplation of the teak trees as they sway by the breeze rolling down the hill. The air conditioned great room offers a spacious living area with a sofa bed and other couches to seat up to 8 people and an internet-connected Blu-ray player and 32" LED flatscreen TV. The dining area has seating for 6 and the full kitchen has a breakfast bar for 4. Wireless or wired internet connection is available for free. The cozy air conditioned bedrooms all boast black wrought iron beds with comfortable mattresses, walls adorned with colorfully designed pareos and high ceilings with fans. The Master bedroom has a Queen size bed, an ensuite bathroom with combination shower/tub and a walk-in closet with safe box. The second and third bedrooms (Queen and 2 Twins) have large open closets and share a bathroom with shower just outside their doors. Outdoors is a good sized pool with chaise longues, a table and a charcoal barbecue grill. The driveway is large enough for several cars to park and the garage with automatic gate allows for safe parking of one car. The house has decorative wrought iron on all windows and an electronic security alarm for added peace of mind. Guest access The entire house. Other things to note Pets allowed: only dogs of quiet nature that do not shed hair. Please register your dog when reserving. Pets must not swim in pool or climb beds or furniture. Dog must be on a leash when walked outdoors. Owner must collect and dispose properly of all dog waste. The pet fee does not cover damages caused by pet. The pricing quoted here is for the entire property and the base price is good for up to 6 adults. Additional children ages 3-17 years old are US$15 per person per night and will be automatically added. Children under 3 years old are not charged this fee. The maximum occupancy is for up to 6 adults and 2 children 3-17 years old. We rent Pack 'n Play/travel cribs and baby highchairs for US$5 per day each. Please advise in advance to reserve.
