We're nestled on the edge of Gifford Pinchot National Forest and just a stone's throw from the Little White Salmon River. Close enough to town (16 min to the Hood River bridge), but far enough away to relax and unwind. The home is updated with modern amenities and conveniences but stays true to its historic details and architecture. We're thrilled to set you up with a wonderful and relaxing stay! The space Welcome inside! You'll find a master bedroom on the ground floor, thoughtfully furnished and full of ample closet space to make you feel right at home. Nearby, a freshly updated full bathroom equipped with all the essentials. A New washer and dryer are located just off the bathroom The Kitchen Open, inviting and perfect for cooking up your favorite meals. Modern appliances and plenty of counter space. The kitchen flows into a living area that's just right for kicking back or enjoying time with friends and family. Living Room New comfy couches and chairs with plenty of sunlight from the South-facing windows. We've stocked up board games, books, puzzles and other inside activity options to keep you busy. A Smart TV and Starlink WiFi are available throughout, as well. Upstairs two additional bedrooms await, one with a queen bed and the other with two twins. Everyone gets their own cozy corner. A wood-clad half bath is adjacent to the upstairs bedrooms for easy use. The Backyard Your private outdoor escape, patio furniture, picnic table, and plenty of green space under some towering fir trees. It's the perfect spot for morning coffees, afternoon games or evening relaxation. The Surroundings The National Forest is quite literally at your doorstep. Hiking, fishing, bird watching, biking, swimming holes, world class kayaking, wineries and much more are all just minutes from the house. There's plenty to do in the heart of the Gorge, but you'll find fewer crowds—and maybe even some secret, locals-only tips—with us up in the woods!
