East Ferry Cottage: steps to town and harbor

Explore Narragansett Bay and its beautiful beaches, coastline, farmland and trails. Drive or take the seasonal water taxi (a block from your door!) to Newport for added fun. Whether you seek the vibrancy of coastal summer living or the oasis of a seaside community, East Ferry Cottage will welcome you. The space Light-filled, cozy cottage that comfortably accommodates up to 4 people. There are 3 bedrooms ~ two bedrooms have a queen bed (one with an ensuite bath) and the 3rd bedroom has two single beds. We realize beds could sleep 6 guests but the extra beds are to accommodate various sleeping arrangements among the 4 guests. We are firm on the 4 person maximum (including infants, toddlers and children) and appreciate your understanding. Kitchen is equipped to cook-in or perhaps brew yourself a cup of coffee to enjoy steps away while sitting on a bench overlooking the Newport bridge. And, of course, lots of options to eat out at one of the many restaurants just a block away in town. Guest access Guests have full access to cottage excluding basement, utility room and utility closet. Each bedroom has two closets, one of which is available for guest use. Guest parking for 2 vehicles. For marina access, owner may leave additional vehicle on the property during the day. Other things to note Check-in: We are unable to accommodate early check-in. If you want to check-in before 4pm, please extend your reservation to include the prior night. If it is just luggage you wish to drop off early, let us know so we can arrange for its storage in the shed. Central A/C: During the summer, the central air conditioning is fixed at 72°F. This setting, along with the ceiling fans (if needed), has worked well for the cottage. If guests are uncomfortable, a message must be sent to the host who will promptly accommodate. Indoor fireplace: Operational during the offseason only (December - March). Jamestown Newport Ferry: water taxi schedule ~ Spring (5/16/26 - 6/13/26), Summer (6/14/26 - 9/6/26), Summer Festivals (7/25/26-7/27/26; 7/31/26 - 8/2/26); Fall (9/7/26 - 10/12/26). Offseason scheduling: Jamestown is a year-round welcomed retreat but our availability to host during the offseason (December - March) is more limited.
