It’s a vacation rental property with a private lake, lodge, event center, and amenities list 1.2 miles long… The Uplands is the perfect location in Central Illinois to have your dream wedding, host your church camp, plan a corporate event, multi-family vacation, annual guys fishing trip, girls getaway, sports team building retreat, or large family reunion! The space The Uplands at Norris Lake, Farmington IL is an amazing 80 acre private property that is set up well for your private event! We only rent the property to one group at a time! You can host your dream wedding, large family reunion, church camp, corporate retreat, sports team building, or any type of memory making event… Our Magical Lakefront Sunsets are the Perfect Ending to Your Perfect Day! The private 30 acre lake is used for swimming, fishing, water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, sailing, snorkeling, and scuba diving. We have many kayaks and canoes, but bring your own motorboat or fishing boat… the lake has a 400’ beach, several fishing docks, a jump platform, and 65’ waterslide… The Lodge overlooking the lake is fully furnished and has high speed WiFi, 11 bedrooms that sleep 46 people, a great room, livingroom, kitchen, and laundry room along with 5 bathrooms (2 of them are higher capacity). The Event Center sits next to the lodge and captures the full view of the lake and picture perfect, waterfront sunsets! Inside the event center is a full court gym for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and more… The bunk rooms in the event center do not include bedding. Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow! The basketball hoops fold up and the 3 huge barn doors of the gym open up to the 80x60 patio outside to create the perfect indoor/ outdoor barn wedding space. Also in the event center are bathrooms, catering kitchen, and 2 high capacity dorm rooms that sleep 27 people each. Outside the Event Center is an acre worth of parking, and next to that is a sports field for soccer, football, baseball, kickball, volleyball, gaga ball, archery, tug o war pit and several other fun activities! Guest access We only rent the entire property to one group at a time… your group will have the most amazing retreat on a private 30 acre lake with lodge and event center. Other things to note Fishing in the lake is incredible! Swimming is crystal clear water. There is a boat ramp so you can bring your own boat too! The event center bedrooms do not include bedding.
