Treebox Somerset - a unique stay in the Quantocks

You'll love this unique, fun and romantic escape. Set in its own field on our smallholding, this secluded converted vintage horsebox has stunning sea views, and a quirky woodland inspired interior to die for. Sit on the deck watching life go by with a roaring fire in the firepit, laze in the cozy birds nest bed reading vintage novels, cook a pizza in the fun wood fired pizza oven or soak and watch the stars in the wood fired hot tub. The kids can come too, staying in their own mini Treebox! The space Treebox is a vintage 1970’s wooden horsebox, converted by local artist Rob Heard into a unique travelling space. Beautifully finished in rustic wood, including whole tree trunks, it is a stunning retreat. It has a bed made from whole slices of trunk, nestled in branches. Vintage stained windows and full size glass doors make it light and airy. An electric woodburner keeps it cosy and warm. It nestles on the hillside overlooking countryside and the sea together with its sister vehicles - a converted horse trailer bathroom and kids sleeping pod in a little western style corrall. It has a large deck with vintage French furniture and an outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and firepit. Your only neighbours are the horses who sometimes graze around you - not if you want your dogs to stay too!! Guest access You have sole use of the Treebox, mini Treebox, bathroom pod, decking and your field. Other things to note The hot tub is wood fired and takes some time to heat up - ideal though to sip a glass or two whilst tending to it!! The Treebox is in a field and the walk up and down to it can get muddy at times so wellies or boots are needed. The mini Treebox sleeps 2 children but the beds are too short for anyone bigger than 5ft 2!! There is a loo with a view in the bathroom trailer but it is composting. There is also hot water in kitchen pod and bathroom pod and a gas powered shower with big copper rainfall head.
