Description
This property will tap into your joy, ease and comfort. The house (from the early mining period of Madrid) will delight you with its playful details & practical amenities. It is within walking distance from a coffee shop, general store, green grocer with local produce, restaurants and a bar. You can also walk out the front door to high desert mountain trails for hiking. This house has multiple bedrooms and dedicated work spaces, 2 porches and a brand new hot tub that fits 4 people comfortably. The space We are located between Santa Fe (25 minutes) and Albuquerque (50 minutes) on the scenic Turquoise Trail. This is an old miner’s house built in the late 1800s. It is a well lived in home, full of interesting touches and art. If you are looking for a sterile condo like environment, this is not it. The main heat source is a wood stove and a small propane heater in the kitchen. It gets very toasty when it’s up and running. The bedrooms both have electric heat. There are two studios on site, a painting studio and a ceramic studio. If you are aware of materials and equipment, we can discuss additional rent for use of the ceramic studio. The property is fully fenced in. The hot tub is brand new and fits 4 comfortably. Washer and dryer. Gas stove and kitchen with all the cooking supplies you will need. You are welcome to use the outdoor firepit if there is NO wind and if you pour water on the fire after use so that it is totally out. Please respect this rule. This town is a tinder box in the high desert. You do not want to set the town on fire. Master bedroom has a king sized bed. Second bedroom has a crib, which can be used as an infant room or can be set up with a queen sized bed for a longer term renter. There is a third small sleeping area with bunk beds. The bunk beds are long (over 6"), but most comfortable for smaller people. Just for clarity, this house is in Madrid, as shown on the map, not Los Cerrillos.
