Happy Plasie Homestay

Welcome to Happy Plasie - a place where good vibes dwell for outdoor enthusiasts who like the peaceful rustic farm environment in an urban setting in the Deep South. We are a couple of rock climbers who adore nature and share our home with our dwarf goats, chickens, bunnies and ducks. We're upstairs in the cabin, and invite you to stay in the cabin downstairs. 10-15 mins away from gorgeous crags and hiking spots, the ocean and Cape Point and only 2 mins drive from the mall. The space The cabin is an open-plan design and consists of: a kitchen with an antique fridge that used to be our grandmother’s, an induction stove, gas stove, Airfryer, toaster and kettle; a small bathroom with only a shower and toilet; a sleeper couch, double bed and single loft bed. Best for a couple or two friends that don’t mind sharing an open space. The exterior is rocky up a slope as we live around mountains. Wild baboons visit regularly. The (mostly) indigenous garden gets a redesign by the chickens and ducks on a daily basis that roam freely. Roosters communicate with each other across the valleys. Sounds of nature are abundant and rural and barking dogs remind you that you’re in a residential area. The property is a unique combination between basic modern- and farm life. No TV, but a basic internet connection. It’s not just a place to stay - for us it’s where we can slow down and be at peace. Like us, you can also sit with the goats and enjoy a tea, read a book in the garden or take a nap on the swingbench. It’s not ideal for late nighters and drinkers, but for quiet, likeminded people who want to live intentionally and contribute to happy vibes. Guest access No visitors allowed, only you and the approved registered guest. A hand-drawn map will be provided to show access to the outside shower, bath tub and chill spots on the property you may use. Other things to note We get up and go sleep early for work. The floor upstairs creaks and the walls are thin, but we do our best to move gently and whisper so to not wake you up in the morning. Please do the same for us at night. Also important to note, we do not have a cleaning service as we keep people coming onto the property to an absolute minimum.
