Lounge under the large pergola (with a large fan) while your family grills up some fresh seafood or meat on the outdoor BBQ/kitchen. -LIVING & KITCHEN AREAS --------------------------------- The main Casita has been newly-renovated!!!!Cook up a feast using our 6-burner stovetop or gorgeous new oven. Chat around the cozy kitchen island. Sit down at our dining table for four people. All while staring out at all the beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows that show you the beautiful green views everywhere. Although our newly-renovated kitchen and living room are so beautiful, our guests also enjoy spending their time in our lovely backyard eating their meals outdoors beneath the large pergola with a light and fan. Our Casita comes fully stocked! Indoors: fridge; freezer; 6-burner stovetop; electric oven; blender; pots; pans; dishes; cutlery; mugs; cups; cooking utensils. Outdoors: BBQ; 4-burner stovetop; gas oven; mini-fridge with mini-freezer; cutlery; pots; pans; dishes; mugs; cups; cooking utensils; BBQ utensils. -MAIN HOUSE CASITA ---------------------------- The master bedroom, located downstairs, has a King bed, a 50-inch smart TV with access to NetFlix, Prime Video, and YouTube. (We include free subscription access to NetFlix during your stay). The master bedroom also has its own balcony and exit to the backyard! A private bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet is right outside the master bedroom on the bottom floor, with access to the kitchen as well. The loft has a King bed, its own private balcony over the backyard, and 2 baby gates at the bottom and top of the stairs (though do note that the locking mechanisms aren't great). A private half bathroom with a sink and toilet is located within the loft. We have A/C each room in the main home, & you can also enjoy the natural breeze by opening the windows or the 3 doors, which have screens. (Do note that there are a handful of bright windows in the bathroom & in the loft area that are fixed windows and cannot be opened. If you're sleeping on the loft, there's one window and the door to the balcony that have screens and that can be left open for the sea breeze.) STAND-ALONE MINI SUITE --------------------------------- We have a no frills, stand-alone suite in the backyard (see pictures) with a Queen bed where two people can sleep privately from those in the main house with their own A/C in the suite. The suite is not at all big, but it is comfortable enough to sleep in & watch TV, read, & enjoy the garden views. Right outside this mini-suite, we have a simple outdoor shower, sink, and bathroom. WIFI ------ High speed WiFi throughout the main home and reaches part of the outdoor area. It’s the perfect place to work remotely! ADDITIONAL SERVICES ----------------------------- We have staff come 2-3 times a week to rake the yard and to clean the pool, (which is not heated but is generally warm during high season of January - May). If you’d like, we can also help you coordinate cooking, cleaning, and washing services, etc. LOCATION OF CASITA DE BAMBU ----------------------------------------------- Our corner lot is tucked away on a private, dead-end road where you can drive through just to park your car in front of our house. The other entrance/exit is pedestrian only access. This is just 3 blocks away or a 3 minute walk from Ayampe's main beach, in the main part of Ayampe town. Outdoor lights illuminate the yard and can be left on all night (but please do turn off the pool light overnight as it attracts nighttime bugs). We are located in the heart of Ayampe, on a pedestrian street, (one of the coziest streets in all of town), and just 300 meters from a mini Police Station. Unlike some of its rowdier and busier neighbors, this sleepy, quiet little town has friendly neighbors and locals as well as a smattering of delicious food options. Try Candela or one of the other horses nearby. SOME OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS AROUND AYAMPE -Puerto Lopez *A tiny but picturesque fishing village on the beach. *Whale watching from June - September. *Outdoor fish market on the beach, where you can choose the perfect seafood to grill on our outdoor BBQ and enjoy it beneath the pergola. *Hot chocolates, cappuccinos, and desserts at Pascha. *Breakfast at Cafe Madame. Other places around Ayampe *White beaches at Los Frailes beach, white sands & turquoise waters, just 30 minutes from Ayampe. *Day trip to Isla de La Plata, enjoy snorkeling with sea turtles & giant manta rays, or you can enjoy a hike on this uninhabited island. Montanita *One of the party scenes in Ecuador, this is the town to come to for international cuisine and partying hard. Olon *Gorgeous, long beaches on a residential town sprinkled with luxurious beach homes. Need help arranging private transportation? We can set that up for you! Just let us know at the time of booking or at least several days in advance of your arrival. If you’re coming from Guayaquil, the easiest way (short of private transportation) is to take a bus to Olon, and then take a taxi from Olon to Ayampe. If you’re coming from Santa Elena, you can take a bus ride lasting 1 1/2 hours. We do provide ONE parking spot on the premises that will comfortably fit 1 car. Any additional cars will need to be parked on Ayampe’s public street, which is about 50 meters away. There is no construction on the weekends. DISCOUNTS --------------- Stay 1 month = 3 times a week we will provide light cleaning; and one time a week we will provide fresh sheets/towels. Stay at least 10 days = 2 times every 10 days we will provide light cleaning. We may be able to offer you an additional discount for stays longer than 10 days but shorter than 1 month. Just shoot us a message :) WE ONLY ACCEPT 6 GUESTS, REGARDLESS OF AGES ----------------------------------------------------------------- Please note that we "generally" only accept 6 guests of any ages. Our Casita is not designed for more than 6 adults as the rooms are comfortable but small. (On certain occasions, for an additional fee, we allow a 7th guest if the 7th guest is a baby or toddler that will be sharing the Master Bedroom bed with their parents). POOL -------- Please note that like nearly all pools in the Ayampe and Manabi coastal region, our pool is NOT heated. It is a cute pool with a nice little wading/tanning area, perfect for children or adults to hang out. Thank you so much for your understanding :) Please keep in mind that we have no control over the weather, and there is a potential “El Niño” phenomenon predicted by weather reports to arrive between late October 2023 - April 2024. It is unknown how each part of Ecuador will be affected, but there may be an increase in rain and flooding in the Manabi region, including Ayampe. If that is the case, naturally, the pool may be unavailable on days of intense rain, or on the 2 or 3 days thereafter. As of September 2023, the weather has been great.
