LOCATION OF CASITA DE BAMBU ----------------------------------------------- Our corner lot is tucked away on a private, dead-end road where you can drive through just to park your 1 car in front of our house. The other entrance/exit is pedestrian only access. This is just 3 blocks away or a 3 minute walk from Ayampe's main beach, in the main part of Ayampe town. Outdoor lights illuminate the yard and can be left on all night (but please do turn off the pool light overnight as it attracts nighttime bugs). We are located in the heart of Ayampe, on a pedestrian street, (one of the coziest streets in all of town), and just 300 meters from a mini Police Station. Guest access You will have the entire property of the Casita de Bambu all to yourself. No need to share any of it!! You'll have access to every part of the property (main house, outdoor area, cabana suite, outdoor shower/bathroom, pool, pergola, etc.) except for a small bodega in the back corner where we keep the gas tank, pool equipment, and some personal items. It is not a big city with big city comforts. And as you can see in the pictures, our Casita is an amazing wooden cabin in a green garden (not a cement block!), so expect cool cabin vibes, like a slanted loft bedroom, the sound of birds chirping, and mosquitos if you leave the doors open and forget to use the screens, haha. We try to provide as many comforts as possible, but please come to Ayampe only if you are looking for a wonderful break from cement and big city life, with the refreshing opportunity to breathe fresh air, walk on the beach, stroll through sandy roads, eat local seafood in a laid back setting, and soak in the green atmosphere. If this isn’t what you’re looking for, we suggest you look to amazing big cities in Ecuador like Cuenca or Quito (or first world countries haha). Everyone else, we welcome you with open arms! There is no place in the world like Ayampe! DISCOUNTS --------------- Stay 1 month = 2 times a week we will provide some laundry hours. We may be able to offer you an additional discount for stays longer than 10 days but shorter than 1 month. ONLY RESERVATION GUESTS MAY ACCESS THE CASITA DE BAMBU —————————————————- Only the reservation guests may use the Casita De Bambu, including the outdoor area and pool. If you would like to have anyone other than your reservation guests visit at the Casita, (for example, to use the pool), please contact us well in advance so we may consider your request. If we agree, we may only allow this for max a few additional guests under certain circumstances like having one of our housekeepers present during that time/for an additional fee. No weddings or similar events are allowed. POOL -------- Please note that like nearly all pools in the Ayampe and Manabi coastal region, our pool is NOT heated. It is a cute pool with a nice little wading/tanning area, perfect for children and adults to hang out. Thank you so much for your understanding :) ***Español: Por favor tenga en mente que, como la mayoría de las piscinas en Manabi y Ayampe, esta piscina esta a temperatura natural. No hay calefacción. Disfrútela como parte de la naturaleza de Ayampe :) ADDITIONAL SERVICES ----------------------------- We have staff come 2-3 times a week to rake the yard, water the plants, and to clean the pool. If you request in advance, we can also help you coordinate cooking, cleaning, and laundry services with our trusted contacts of housekeepers/cooks. PARKING ------------ We provide ONE parking spot on the premises that will comfortably fit 1 car. Any additional cars will need to be parked on Ayampe’s public street, which is about 50 meters away. Like in every other part of Ecuador, please don’t leave personal items in your cars. ***Español: Solo les ofrecemos UN (1) espacio de parqueo para que entre 1 carro. Cualquier otros carros tendrán que estacionarse en las calles públicas de Ayampe, las cuales hay como a 50 metros de la Casita principal. ELECTRICITY ————— Ayampe is a gorgeous, RURAL beach town that may be affected by temporary power outages (like when a branch from one of the beautiful jungle trees falls on a power line). Power outages are out of our control. If you would like to avoid the possibility of these, Ayampe is not for you, and we suggest more reliable big cities in Ecuador like Cuenca or Quito.
