Yogyakarta is the heart and soul of Javanese culture. Nestled in the Southern part of the city, you can stay at the most intimate and memorable Kandha Suite. Kandha means story teller in Old Javanese and the space is hosted by one-of-a-kind young Indonesian-Greek, Javanese shadow puppet master. Equipped with a set of traditional gamelan, you can experience a unique and authentique atmosphere. You can take basic gamelan lesson and an introduction to Javanese dance session. The space A queen sized bed, with an optional extra bed, including a private bathroom with a bath tub inside. There is also a shared toilet outside of the rented room. Guest access The rented room, terrace, outdoor lounge (garden), pool, library and gamelan hall. The second floor and the Eastern part of the first floor is a permanent living quarter and is off limits to our guests. During your stay Do not hesitate to ask me if you need help! Just say my name (Gibran/Nicho) loud and clearly and I should come post-haste. If you prefer to send a phone message, that's okay too. Other things to note Breakfast is included with your stay. Javanese fried rice with veggies from the organic mini farm of Kandha Suite or Continental breakfast with homemade sourdough from a nearby bakery are the choices. Take a refreshing plunge in Kandha Suite’s garden pool and immerse yourself in the amazing 180 degree view of downtown Yogyakarta, Mount Merapi, Merbabu and Telomoyo.
