New mountain cabin with lovely views

This charming cottage is the perfect retreat for the whole family. With modern decor and spacious living spaces, you can enjoy the comfort while taking in the incredible nature around you and the gorgeous views. The cabin has plenty of space, with multiple bedrooms and common areas perfect for relaxation and coziness. Whether you want to spend time together around the fireplace, cook together in the well-equipped kitchen, or relax on the terrace. The space THE CABIN: ⛰️ The cabin is beautifully located on top of Furåsen, with a beautiful view south towards Tonstad! 🐇🦌🦊🐿️ If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky to see hares, roe deer, foxes or squirrels around the cabin. ☀️ In the summer we have sun from 6 am to 11 pm, and with different zones on each side of the cabin the sun can be enjoyed throughout the day. 🏠 The cabin consists of four bedrooms. Three on the first floor and one on the second floor. Rooms 1-3 are downstairs and room 4 is upstairs. The beds are as follows: Room 1: Double bed (150x200) Room 2: Double bed (150x200) Room 3: Double bed (150x200) Room 4: Two double beds (180x200) 🧸 On the loft on the second floor there is a very nice playroom for the children. Here we have a train track, duplo, animals, cars and many other nice toys. The feedback we get is that the kids would rather not leave this corner. 🪑 Extra chairs, changing table, flap for dining table, etc. are in the loft or under the stairs. 🖥️ For those who want to work while visiting the cabin, we have an office desk, chair, screen, keyboard and mouse in the loft. 🪵 In our woodshed there are refills of wood, as well as several tables, chairs, sleds, fire pans, etc. NEARBY AREA: 🥾 In the summer months, there are trails all over the area. Feel free to visit the website of the tourist association for an overview of all the tours in Sirdal. ⛷️ The ski track (cross-country skiing) is 300 m north of the cabin. You can put on your skis at the door and walk until you reach the prepared slopes. From there, there are probably 100 km of prepared slopes. 🎿 The alpine slopes Tjørhomfjellet and Ålsheia are only 5 km away. Here you can buy a ski pass and use the same ski pass in both alpine ski resorts. 🛒 Grocery store is either in Sinnes (Joker GP) which has a large selection and in Åmli (convenience store) which also has a good selection and is open via self-service 24/7. 🥐 At Sinnes, there is also the bakery Hekta. Here, the best buns, bread, rolls and other baked goods are served, and it is definitely worth a visit. 🛍️ If you need to replenish clothes or equipment, you can visit the store called "Handleriet" where you will find a great sports shop with well-known brands. 🍺 For those who want a cold beer or drink, and at the same time meet other nice people, we can recommend Sinnes Fjellstue. Here, the atmosphere is usually great! 🍽️ If you want to have lunch or dinner at a restaurant, we recommend Slottet. A fantastic restaurant located on top of a mountain overlooking the valley. Guest access Our guests have access to the entire cabin during their stay. The only room that is locked is our storage room. This is where we store our private belongings. Other things to note 🚗 In winter, a 4x4 car is recommended as the cabin is located at the top of a very steep hill. At the steepest, the slope is about 20%. ❄️ You may also want to keep an eye on the weather forecast. If there is a change in weather during the stay, it may be wise to drive the car down the last hill so that you are sure to get home (the hill will not be plowed for snow in icy/slippery conditions). 🅿️ We have two reserved parking spaces before the last floor. In addition to 3-4 at the cabin. The parking spaces at the bottom of the last hill are 200-300 m away. 🛏️ All our beds have duvets and pillows, but no bed linen or towels. If you want this, it comes with an addition to the price of NOK 450 per set.
