Within easy walking distance of mainline train station and country pubs, our home is idyllic for those looking to escape to the country and not have to drive everywhere. Note for 2025: The property is available to block-book for 3 months from July to August. The space Welcome to our family home! Normally inhabited by our family of six, we are delighted to offer other families the opportunity to enjoy our space. The property is located on a private road with a large shingle driveway including parking for 5-6 cars and space for bikes and other transport. The driveway provides access to the house via the kitchen or the main front door. Entering the property into the kitchen, ahead is an area for coats and shoes. The kitchen is not the most modern but includes all the appliances you need including a double oven and grill, gas hob, microwave, nutribullet, Panasonic bread-maker and Dualit toaster and kettle. There is a dining area including seating for 8. We have plenty of high chairs and bucket seats available on request. All crockery and cooking utensils are included, for adults and children. The play room has everything a child needs to be entertained for hours! Play kitchen, workbench, books and toys a plenty! There is also a TV with Chromecast and a small double sofa bed. Blackout curtains ensure it’s dark at night if anyone stays in this room (note that you have to walk through it to access the kitchen). The sitting room is large with a stunning working fireplace. Perfect for cosy evenings! A 4 seater sofa, armchairs and coffee table occupy this space too. A 50” flat screen TV with Sky, Netflix and other subscriptions are included. There is also a Nintendo switch and board games too. Also downstairs is a WC, hallway and coat stand. Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms, a family bathroom and separate WC. The main bedroom has a super king bed, TV with chrome cast, dressing table and cupboard and drawer space. The second bedroom overlooks the garden has a small double bed, cupboard and chest of drawers. The third child’s bedroom has a cabin bed with additional mattress underneath if required. The fourth child’s bedroom has a single bed, and can house a travel cot or single air bed on the floor if necessary. The fifth child’s bedroom has a toddler bed. All bedrooms include storage space for clothes and have blackout curtains. The family bathroom has an extra wide bath and stand in shower complete with beautiful mermaid tiled wall. The gardens are stunning and south facing. A huge beech tree stands in the middle of the garden, providing ideal shade for warmer days. The patio has a large table and chairs complete with comfy cushions. A large Webber BBQ stands alongside and in the summer months, there is a chlorinated, heated overground pool with up and over steps. It’s a glorious setting on summer days. Note that this house was built in the 1950’s and downstairs has not yet been modernised. The old wooden beams are original, as is the parquet flooring and fireplace. In keeping with this, some parts look a little rough and ready. It’s all part of the charm! The location is perfect for a country escape in a charming town! Just 15 minutes walk into the centre of Petersfield and the mainline station, there are a range of restaurants, pubs, shops and supermarkets. We are just off the A3 and easy to find, close to local cities of Portsmouth, Chichester and Winchester. Goodwood is just 25 minutes away, making this an ideal residence for families going to events. Guest access All of the property is available to access with the exception of the garden office, garage and utility room, which will remain locked. Other things to note This is a family home and set up to accommodate families, with a maximum of 4 adults. As four children live here most of the time, we ask that no one smokes inside at any time. Please also note that the conservatory is inaccessible as is the garden office. There can sometimes be a little road noise in the garden from the A3 slip road.
