Eagles Nest Retreat - Oceanside cottage

Escape the ordinary and relax in our quaint, rustic cottage with private beach, directly in front of the legendary Five Islands along the Glooscap Trail. This area is Canada's newly proclaimed UNESCO Global Geopark. Be mesmerized by the dramatic (and world's highest) Bay of Fundy tides during the day and the stars overhead at night - all right at your doorstep. The space There is lots to do while staying at the cottage; including clam digging, kayaking, fishing, swimming, beachcombing, outdoor evening fires & more. This trail is well known for it's precious stones, and fossils found along it's shores and the many antique stores with treasures waiting to be found. The Fundy Geological Museum, FORCE tidal project, Ottawa House by-the-Sea Museum and the Ship's Company Theatre (live performances) are about 20kms away in Parrsboro. For more adventure the remote Cape D'Or Lighthouse, Advocate Harbour Beach and Cape Chignecto Provincial Park (great for hiking) is about an hour's drive away. Remote kayak tours along the shore are found in Advocate also. The rustic cottage features a full kitchen with an electric stove, fridge & freezer, table & chairs and comes with dishes, silverware, pots & pans, coffee maker, etc. Each of the 2 bedrooms feature a double bed and have doors for privacy. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, toilet & small vanity. All linens for beds, towels, & facecloths are supplied. There is a small sitting area facing the islands with a colour TV with local stations only (NO cable), and a Blue-Ray DVD & movies. Free Wi-Fi is available but can sometimes be weak and/or affected by the weather. Large private deck with picnic table, an outdoor firepit overlooking the water, and parking for 1 vehicle included. Absolutely NO parties are permitted. NO pets allowed. NO unregistered visitors. Check-in 3pm, check-out 11am.
