The space Located right where our 30-acre property begins, Sunrise Cabin is a modern, ease-filled forest retreat that brings you all the comforts of home right at the edge of the forest canopy. At the heart of this solar-powered cabin, a dramatic wall of windows floods the open layout with natural light and offers immersive views of the surrounding trees. Whether you are looking for a romantic retreat, enjoying a solo escape, or travelling with friends and family, you will find a comfortable, thoughtfully appointed space to slow down and breathe deeply here. RESTFUL SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Enjoy a deeply restorative night's sleep fully dressed in soft, high-quality linens: Primary Bedroom: Premium queen-size memory foam mattress. Second Bedroom: Versatile trundle setup with two twin memory foam mattresses. Living Area: Large sectional couch that easily converts into a queen-size bed. THOUGHTFULLY CHOSEN AMENITIES & FEATURES Enjoy complete modern comfort blended with the quiet of nature: Full Kitchen: Complete with an oven, microwave, induction burners, and a dishwasher. THE LAND, PRIVACY, & COMMUNITY We value your peace, quiet, and solitude. Nadair Maine is our home—a 30-acre forest ecosystem that we lovingly steward, complete with our growing permaculture gardens. It is a shared land, home to us as well as a few other travelers staying at Cocoon Cottage, our seasonal, off-grid glamping site tucked deeper into the woods. We are two people who genuinely love to host and share the beauty of this place. To ensure you feel completely at ease, here is how the layout works: Your Private Sanctuary: Your indoor living space, outdoor patio, and fire pit areas are entirely yours to enjoy. Host Proximity: We live on-site full-time in a separate tiny house located 60 feet away. While it is visible from the driveway and front windows, we intentionally built it so that none of our windows look into yours, ensuring your indoor space remains personal and secluded. A Living Property: You will likely see us out and about chopping wood, building forest paths, or foraging. We deeply respect your desire to unplug and honor your need for space. However, you are never isolated—we are always nearby to share local insider tips or lend a helping hand. Parking & Access: We share the main driveway, but you have a dedicated, clearly marked parking space reserved exclusively for Sunrise Cabin. You are also entirely welcome to explore the carved forest trails weaving throughout the property! LOCATION & SURROUNDINGS Our location offers the absolute best of both worlds: a beautiful, quiet, and serene rural life that is located incredibly close to local grocery stores, coastal towns, and restaurants. Nearby Attractions include: Brooks (5 mins): Local food and art at the Marsh River Co-op and Ralph’s Cafe. Unity (15 mins): Amish goods and historic Belfast & Moosehead Lake Train Rides. Belfast (20 mins): Idyllic coastal town filled with local food, coffee shops, and year-round activities. Moose Point State Park (25 mins): Scenic ocean picnic spots, coastal hiking trails, and tidal pools. Camden (40 mins): Iconic, charming New England town "where the mountains meet the sea." Stair-Free Path: A gently sloping path from the driveway leads directly onto the back porch. Keyless Check-In: Your unique automated door code will be provided prior to arrival. Other things to note MAINE NATURE You will be immersed in a natural forest environment. This includes local wildlife and insects (like black flies, mosquitoes, and ticks, especially in warmer months). We are grateful to the many species who share the land in which these bugs are their food source, but we also provide bug spray and Thermocell to assist with your health and comfort.
