It is a 6 min drive, 10-minute Scooter ride, or 20 min walk to the beach. 10 min from Luiz Munoz Marin International Airport. As in many Caribbean Islands, please keep in mind that the electrical power grid is old and outdated and power outages do happen often in Puerto Rico. It’s a way of life here. The building has a generator for the common areas only. The apartment does not have a generator (gas is not permitted) so if the power goes out there is nothing I can do. The building is gated and secured and you will need the provided key fobs to get onto the grounds. The unit is family friendly and many local families live in the building. The location is in a central area for nightlife with the infamous Calle Cerra right out front with plenty of bars, restaurants, rooftops, boutiques, and more. This area fills up with tourists and locals alike especially on the weekends so there is potential for noise. The building has an open balcony concept so please be cautious with your younger ones. Guest access Guests have full access to the unit. This is my home and a lot of effort, money and hard work went into it. Please respect my space. There is a blink camera on the exterior of the front door for security reasons. Other things to note We also offer decorations ready in the unit for any special occasion you are celebrating. Santurce has been going thru an economic transformation. There are still some areas of the neighborhood that may look a little rough around the edges but there are many more inviting places to explore. Santurce is full of new bars, rooftops, restaurants, galleries, museums, and more. The bright street art and murals is what makes it unique. You will experience authentic Puerto Rican culture in this vibrant "barrio" (neighborhood). You can Uber anywhere for just a few dollars. There is private secured parking on the premises, but we do suggest Uber over renting a car as parking in San Juan can be difficult. You will be only minutes from Old San Juan, the airport, La Placita, Isla Verde, Condado, and much more.
