Franklin Building Apartment #4 is located in the heart of downtown Sitka adjacent to St Michael's Cathedral within walking distance of everything you need; restaurants, shopping, bars, harbors, grocery store, library, hiking trails and Sitka Fine Arts Campus. Across the street visit the Sitka Library or Harrigan Centennial Hall where you can watch the Russian Dancers perform during the summer months, visit the Sitka Historical Museum or attend a performance of the Summer Musical Festival. The apartment is located on the second level of a downtown commercial/residential building with captivating views of the surrounding mountains, ocean and Crescent Harbor. The main floor has a coffee/frozen yogurt bar and a consignment store and the lowest level has a Mexican American Restaurant. The second level is a combination of long term residential apartments and vacation rentals. The building is locked in the evenings and accessed with a pass key. The building has an elevator for tenants and guests only and the key to the elevator is provided after check in. The building has 2 entries and will be locked in the evenings. The apartment is located on the second level so stairs will be necessary to access the apartment when checking in. An elevator key is provided after check in. Guests have an access key to use on the main entrance on Lincoln St. when the building is locked. Guests check themselves in and out of the apartment. If arriving after 10pm, we provide a code to a lock box that will allow guests into the locked building. During summer peak season we can not accommodate most requests for early check in or late check out. When calendar allows we will accommodate during off season. The apartment is located in the heart of downtown Sitka. With the location directly downtown a rental car is not necessary, everything you need is within walking distance. Public transportation is available one block from the apartment. If you do have a rental car parking is available on street, make sure to read all parking signs, parking lot across the street at the Library or overnight parking in the Wells Fargo Bank lot, just make sure to move the car before business hours. The apartment has everything you need to be comfortable and feel at home. Note the second bedroom is semiprivate with an accordion door that does not go completely to ceiling and floor. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal, just bring the food. We provide basic spices, coffee and tea. There is a smart tv to add your favorite streaming app. And if you need it, wireless internet is available.
