Murlough Point, Dundrum sleeps up to 16 guests

A newly built stylish family home designed with every comfort. A completely secluded, private hideaway at Murlough Nature Reserve, one of Northern Ireland’s areas of outstanding natural beauty. The heart of the house is warm, welcoming with an open plan living area to relax, enjoy the roaring fire with views of the private garden. Six immaculately finished bedrooms with unique en suite bathrooms. Three further sitting areas including a cinema room with sofa beds. The space Sleeping 12 guests, Murlough Point is a stunningly designed newly built house, spread over 3 floors and across 2 buildings. Positioned in the heart of a Nature Reserve, a mile from Dundrum village, the property offers total privacy and is minutes from Northern Ireland’s most beautiful beach at Murlough set against the impressive backdrop of the Mourne mountains. The front door opens into a hall with beautifully designed staircase and a large living area, with comfortable seating, grand piano, bar, wood burning stove, adjoining the kitchen and dining area. The whole house has underfloor heating and is surrounded by glass windows and sliding doors which open onto the garden and sheltered courtyard. There is outdoor seating, dining, an outdoor fire/BBQ & Sauna. Please note there is an extra charge to use the sauna of £100 per stay which will be requested after booking as an extra. The fully kitted kitchen has an Everhot cooker, coffee machine, Smeg fridge, 2 dishwashers, sink and island. The dining area comfortably seats 12 guests. There is a separate Pantry with sink, further large fridge, freezer and microwave. The bar also has a small sink and 2 under counter fridges. There are two cloakrooms downstairs and a back hall for outdoor clothing, opening into a utility room with washer, dryer and iron. There are 3 further sitting areas at the property, which include a TV room with L-shaped sofa near the front door, an upstairs quiet room with sofa and desk and a cinema room with wide screen TV and 4 sofas. The four sofas in the TV room can be made into 4 single beds for 4 children at and extra cost of £50 per child per stay, please request once booked and this will be charged as an extra. There are 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms upstairs, all with bath/shower options and beds can be made up as singles or doubles. There are 2 further bedrooms on the lower ground floor, one with a king size bed and a walk-in en-suite shower. The 6th bedroom is located in the Bunk House across from the main house accessed via covered walkway. This bedroom also has its own bathroom and is adjacent to the Cinema room with sofa beds. There is a Games room downstairs, with table tennis and snooker and french doors which open onto the courtyard and dining area. Next to the sauna is a hot outdoor shower, ideal after a day on the beach. The sauna can be used for an additional cost of £100 for the week. Please advise on booking if you would like to use the Sauna during your stay and payment will be requested after a booking has taken place. Guest access Luxury open plan living area with fully fitted kitchen, dining area, island, bar, large seating area with sofas and a fire. Separate library with TV. Upstairs quiet room with sofa, fire and desk. In addition to the 6 en suite bedrooms in the main house, the Bunk House adjoins the house via a covered passage and has a further bedroom with bathroom and a seating area with a large screen TV with 4 sofa beds. This room doubles as abcinema or spill over sleeping for children. In addition to the kitchen and dining, there is a separate pantry with fridge, freezer, sink and food storage. There is also a utility & boot room with washer/dryer. And 2 downstairs cloakrooms. Other things to note BED FORMATION- The beds are set as the default which is 1x King and 10x Singles. Please request on booking if any singles are to be made as kings. Additional Children Accommodation- In the Cinema Room, there are 4 sofas which can drop into sofa beds in the Bunk House. Please note these beds are to be used for children only at an additional cost of £50 per bed. PETS - 2 dogs allowed at £40 charge per dog. Please ensure these are pre agreed before booking/arrival. You must supply your own pet bedding/towels. Pets are not allowed on furniture, should not be left unattended at the house as this could pose a risk to National Trust guests to the Reserve. You must ensure that all trace of the pet’s occupation at the property has been removed and clear up after them. Please ensure pets are on leads outside of the properties garden. There will be a deduction on guest’s damage deposit for any dog mess left. There will be a charge for any game or livestock disturbed by dogs not on leads. Sauna Hire Available £100 per stay - must be requested once booked and will be charged as an extra. There is a private Boat House 10 minutes walk from Murlough Point and this can be made available for use during your stay. There are Paddle boards, a small laser boat, deck chairs, a dining space and a small fire. Please enquire for more information on prices and availability. Maximum group size is 12 plus 4 infants 1 clip on high chair and 1 travel cot - please bring your own bedding No additional beds can be arranged or brought in. No parties allowed without prior arrangement and catering to be provided by our recommended caterers. Please note that any external suppliers must be pre-agreed with Yorkshire Escapes. DÉCOR - No glitter, confetti, balloon water bombs, paper lanterns or fireworks. No sticking of decorations on walls or windows. Please do not move any furniture. DELIVERIES - Please do not arrange grocery deliveries BEFORE your arrival time as we cannot be available to receive them and access to the Nature Reserve is limited.
