Ängen/ Enebacken - Old meets New

Ängen and Enebacken have a special charm and a great location on the edge of the forest. You can take walks and long hikes or simply relax. In addition to nature, the surrounding area offers interesting cultural sites (museums, mines, Opera, etc.) and about 13 km away is Kloten, with a climbing park, a canoe and bicycle rental. Kopparberg with shopping facilities is 12 km away. Relax in this natural and quiet place. The space Ängen is an old log cabin that was brought back to life in 2020. It was provided with a newly built bathroom, running hot and cold water and electricity. An attempt was made to preserve the old and adapt the new. The cottage offers enough space for two people. In the living area, there is a sofa bed (bed surface 140 x 200 cm), 2 armchairs and a small, fold-out table. If required, a second small cottage, called Enebacken, can be used. This is about 30 m from Ängen and offers two people the opportunity to sleep there. A sofa bed (140 x 200 cm lying surface), built-in closets and a secretary are available here. A dry toilet, which is located between the two houses, can be used as desired. Otherwise, the bathroom in Ängen is available for use. A breakthrough has been made to the kitchen in Ängen, which has resulted in a comfortable counter. There you can enjoy cozy meals and communication while cooking. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary dishes and kitchen utensils. A fridge-freezer, toaster, coffee grinder, kettle, etc. and if desired an electric stove with two hotplates and a small oven are in the kitchen and the adjacent pantry. The heart of the kitchen is an old, refurbished wood-burning stove. There you can cook and bake to your heart's content. The bathroom is spacious and individually designed and equipped with a toilet, sink and shower. The hot water and heating are provided with electricity. Alternatively, you can heat and cook with wood. Electricity and wood are additionally charged. (1 kWh = 3.0 SEK) In 2023, a spacious porch and a small workshop were added. This makes Ängen a small jewel on the edge of the forest, if you like the charm of the simple and rustic. Guest access All areas can be used. Other things to note Ängen and Enebacken are old cottages with some special features, so check-in will take place in person. Bed linens, hand and bath towels, as well as kitchen and dish towels are included in the furnishings and are included in the price. Energy costs, electricity and wood are additionally charged. 1 kWh costs 2.5 SEK 1 box of wood (sufficient for active use approx. 3 days) costs 100 SEK Check-out is usually also done in person to settle the energy costs.
