Description
Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. A 5 metre nomadic bell tent tucked away on the edge of woodland furnished with comfy full size beds plus a well equipped camp kitchen and private compost toilet. Snuggle up round your camp fire at night time at this eco-friendly micro campsite where space and privacy is guaranteed for every guest. Guests enjoy a small onsite honesty shop selling logs and sweet treats. The space The bell tent sleeps four guests with one standard double and two single beds. Bedding is provided with duvets, pillows, sheets and blankets. The tent is lit internally with solar lights and there are fairy lights and solar lights in the outside space. Outside there is a small equipped kitchen shed with a gas hob and hot water, there are plenty of plates, bowls, cups and glasses plus pans and utensils. You can enjoy your meals or play board games at the bench table under a shelter, or gather round the campfire which includes a tripod, grill and dutch oven to cook all your meals over an open fire. The campsite has shared shower and bathroom facilities but the bell tent pitch includes a private compost toilet which is regularly checked and cleaned by the site owners. Wild Cherry Camping is a Greener Camping Club site, there are six other pitches on site with each enjoying plenty of private space. The site is a 10 acre smallholding and home to sheep, pigs and poultry. You can wander round the site or stick to your pitch. Car parking is on a grass car park and the pitch is a short walk away. You can charge electric cars outside the house where there is a 7kwh untethered charger available for an additional cost to use. Mobile devices and small power packs can be charged at the honesty shop or shower unit. Clothes washing can be undertaken by the site owners at the main house if needed for a small fee. The honesty shop has logs, drinks and snacks for sale. There is a shared fridge freezer available for guests use. In order to comply with countryside planning policy, we operate our property as a Greener Camping Club members-only destination. The £12 membership fee is included in the accommodation price under the cleaning fee. If you are already a member the fee will be refunded to you upon arrival Guest access Full use of the tent, camp kitchen, dining space and private toilet. Shared use of the shower block, car park, mains toilet, fridge & freezers. EV charger subject to availability. Other things to note One well behaved dog is welcome but the tent is not fully secure and dogs can escape under the tent door - we recommend either bringing a crate or long line. Dogs MUST be on lead at all times as there is no enclosed space and there are cattle and sheep in the surrounding fields. There is no vehicle access to the tent, the tent is a short walk downhill from the car park and we are happy to assist if you have any accessibility needs. The car park is closed at night although guests may come and go at any hour.
