Other things to note Weather, Power & Internet Outages (Force Majeure) Please note that our home is located in a rural area where seasonal weather events, including summer storms and winter snow, can occasionally occur. While these events are typically short-lived, they may cause damage to power lines or internet infrastructure, resulting in temporary outages. Restoration of electricity and internet service is handled exclusively by the local utility providers (NYSEG and Spectrum), and repair times are entirely outside of our control. Unfortunately, we are unable to influence or expedite these services. In the event of a weather-related outage, we recommend patience and are happy to suggest temporary alternatives or nearby locations with power or Wi-Fi where possible. As these circumstances constitute force majeure (events beyond our reasonable control), no refunds, credits, or compensation will be provided for interruptions caused by weather, utility failures, or telecommunications outages.
