A Cosy Coastal Cottage in Barbados

A cozy self-contained one-bedroom cottage in a private garden setting situated behind the main house on the grounds of our home - across the road from the beautiful Little Welches Beach on the South Coast, just west of Oistins. This cute holiday home is spacious, functional, tastefully furnished in a tropical/coastal island style and is well-maintained. Conveniently located within walking distance of the essential amenities, with onsite parking and easy access to public transport and highways. The space The cosy coastal cottage at Newhaven is a private one-bedroom self-contained/self-catering chattel house with bathroom, open plan living/dining and deck off the living area and bedroom leading into a courtyard garden where there is a hammock, BBQ and outdoor shower. This cute holiday home is spacious, functional, tastefully furnished in a tropical coastal island style and is well-maintained. It is equipped with all essentials for a short stay - free WIFI and a telephone for free local calls as well as music sound dock. Living room: Open plan living/dining/kitchen - equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, electrical kettle, toaster and portable BBQ grill in courtyard. Crockery & cutlery is provided. Bathroom: Clean and uncluttered. Self contained with shower, sink & toilet. Towels and linens are provided. Bedroom: Fully air conditioned and furnished with king-size bed. Ample closet space for a short stay. A wooden deck off the bedroom leads onto a small private courtyard garden. There is a hammock on the deck perfect for relaxing with a book or looking out for the family of monkeys that may pay you a visit. Guest access Guests have full access to cottage, courtyard and laundry area. Unregistered Guests are not permitted on the property. Private property with onsite parking. Other things to note The cottage is a traditional wooden Chattel House set back from the main Oistins Road (behind the main house). It comes with all the oddities of living in the tropics - some shutters open to the outdoors, mosquitoes, lizards and the occasional bat come and go as they please. We highly recommend that you use mosquito repellent and the zapper every time you come home. It takes a few minutes but you will be thankful for it. Also remember to rinse off the salt water and sand from your legs and feet to make you less tasty to these pesky little critters! If it is too hot, noisy or the mosquitoes are getting a bit tiresome you can close up the windows and turn on the AC, however we do ask you to please turn off the air conditioning every time you leave the premises. There is separate AC in the bedroom and living room.
