Always carry chains as we live in the mountains, but rarely is the freeway shut down. Other things to note WHAT IS THE WELCOME LIKE? You may have a self check-in. We have everything prepared for you. We want you to have a pleasant stay. Make yourself at home. WHAT IS THE GUEST MANUAL? We've actually put together a photo book to guide you during your stay. We've left it out on the sofa table in hopes that you will read it and that it will answer most of your questions. It has great ideas, descriptions and directions. We appreciate when our guests read the Guest Manual and let us know! WHAT IF THE AIR QUALITY IS BAD? Our policy is to refund nights not stayed should the air quality be bad due to smoke. WHAT ARE WINTERS LIKE? Winters are November to February. Nights are cooler than days. Usually the sun comes out a bit even in winter. There are only a couple of times a year that we get severe winter storms. Always carry chains when you come visit in the winter months as we live in the mountains. The freeway is frequently plowed in case of snow as well as Hwy 97. They are rarely completely closed down. Our driveway and road gets plowed during a snow. We can help if you need it. Just ask. We may not have noticed or may be somewhere else on the ranch. WHAT IS A SELF-SERVE BREAKFAST? Our guests recognize the value of thoughtful amenities that allow you to cook and bake your own self-serve meals. You bring the groceries. We provide pancake/waffle mix, spices, salt and pepper, oil, sugar and coffee beans plus large and small appliances, pots, pans, dishes and utensils. WHAT IS THERE TO DO? Our close proximity to the Freeway makes travel easy to hiking trails, swimming, skiing, climbing, Mineral Springs, and snow play. WHAT IS THE WATER LIKE? Water comes from a well. Having fresh air and clean water is just a bonus.
