The space The Ocotillo guest room is a spacious, airy, private bedroom with independent access, equipped with queen bed, fan, a/c, table and chairs, bookshelf, and fridge. The bathroom contains a roomy, tiled shower. The space is suitable for 1-2 person occupancy. The room has plenty of natural light and views over the palms and tropical vegetation of the La Ropa neighborhood. The room is three levels above the main house, so there are a number of stairs to negotiate as you move through the garden from street level. One level below the room is a palapa-thatched terrace with hammocks, table and chairs, free wifi, and splendid views of sunrise and sunset skies. NO KITCHEN PRIVILEGES ARE INCLUDED. Guest access Four separate buildings house independent apartments and rooms in the El Tamarindo at Casa Calamondin family complex that winds up a slope from street level. A pathway and a series of exterior stairways lead up through the garden areas to access each of the upper modules. Cozy comfort and low-key relaxation characterize the home. Guests can access the rental units via exterior walkways and stairs without having to go through the main residence. Every room and apartment has independent access from the exterior. For outdoor lounging, guests have shared access to a rooftop palapa-thatched terrace that overlooks the tropical greenery of La Ropa and affords lovely sunrise and sunset views. Depending on family occupancy and other rental conditions, renters staying at El Tamarindo may be granted access to the front terrace and dipping pool of the main house. There is free WiFi on both the upper rooftop terrace and the lower terrace of the main house. This room does not come with kitchen privileges. During your stay Family is sometimes in residence in the main house, and other guests and family may share the common terraces and dipping pool, so at times we do all hang out together. Generally, though, peaceful relaxation and few human distractions reign within the property. Please respect the privacy of others on the property and keep noise to a minimum. Felisa, the house manager, checks in daily and is available should the need arise. Both Felisa and Carol are available by phone (calls, texts, or Whatapp) and email. Other things to note Coffee pots are available--Please ask. There's ample street parking in front of the house. Once-per-week linen and towel changes are included. Your unit will be delivered thoroughly cleaned, and we include an initial supply of drinking water, soap, and toilet tissue for your arrival. Extra drinking water is available for purchase. We do not have television or public land-line phone service at El Tamarindo. We do not have public laundry facilities on the property.
