A separate bedroom can be booked for an additional fee by specifying 4 adults in the booking/request and thus offers more space for two or the studio is also suitable for a small family. A kitchenette (small fridge, mini oven, microwave, 2 hotplates, coffee maker) and a bathroom with large shower & toilet are separate. THE HOUSE & SURROUNDINGS The NUTSHELL is part of the Rekreation vacation home with a total of 3 units, whereby the studio apartment is available for completely private use and, due to the secluded location and structural arrangement, allows a hidden retreat in the middle of nature. The building is part of an old courtyard area, which also offers a playground, a fireplace with seating and in summer a pool, but remains secluded. With a protected location and in a sinking landscape, the complex conveys a feeling of a rural resort, but is rustic and authentic in its rural origin in the outdoor area. The vacation home is surrounded by about 1 hectare of green space consisting of meadow, field, stream, floodplain and a small forest and is characterized by 'open privacy' - views without being overlooked. All units are completely private & separate, have their own entrances and their living areas and outdoor areas are structurally arranged in such a way that they are each protected from view, but without restricting their own view. The large glass surfaces and connecting design elements in the rooms ensure a fusion of cozy comfort and a harmonious natural experience. The huge meadow by the stream without visible neighbors gives people a private view and the wildlife an undisturbed habitat. Arriving, playing, sitting together, walking, all this happens only on the front of the house, where the entrances of the apartments and opposite a meadow area with a playground, a fireplace, a real circus wagon and in summer a pool for common use are located. Thus, life in the apartments and terraces remains secluded and private. A bicycle storage space & garbage area are available for common use. A washing machine is available for shared use in the utility room, which is also the cleaner's workspace. The stream is welcome to be discovered - but it is as it is and not embellished. A stroll along the fields is always nice too. Also ask what seasonal produce can be harvested around the house! Away from the house there are paths to hiking and biking trails, buschenschenken, and much more. Other things to note The hilly area is particularly suitable for gentle hiking or cycling: The Pöllauer Valley Nature Park offers a particularly large number of idyllic routes. The pilgrimage church Pöllauberg, which can be seen from the terraces, can be reached in an hour by bike or two hours on foot. Eastern Styria also offers many beautiful excursion destinations by car. In 15 to 25 minutes by car, you can reach the popular Stubenbergsee, the Herberstein Animal Park, three thermal spas (H2O, Waltersdorf & Blumau) as well as a climbing garden, a summer toboggan run, two small ski resorts, the Joglland hiking area and much more.
