Short distance to Sweden and "Swedish trade" at the shopping center Nordby (10 km) and Strømstad (22 km), as well as Halden with Fredriksten Fortress and Fredrikstad with the Old Town. Guest access Boat trips for fishing, swimming, diving, crab fishing, etc. can be arranged by the landlord. NOK 750 per hour, minimum 2 hours, rent over 3 hours gives discount. See pictures. Other things to note Sponvika is the small white village, (Sørlandsidyll), right up to Svinesund, Iddefjorden and Sweden. Sponvika has old settlements with narrow streets and alleys and appears very inviting. There is also a separate restaurant, Sjøboden, with gourmet food and all rights on site with a small marina. Kjeøya, which is located at the far end of Singlefjorden, has both great nature trails and its own secured swimming area called Pina. In the nearby area there is the Swedish shopping center Nordby which is only 9 km from the cabin. Halden is 11 km away with Fredriksten Fortress and Rød Manor. It is 20 km to Strømstad. There is a private climbing park in treetops etc. only 5 km from the cabin. Great golf course 10 km in Sweden. Fredrikstad with the Old Town from the 1600s is only 30 km away.
