This is rural living, not a polished or modern vacation rental. Expect an older home with rustic character, a peaceful setting, and a slower pace. The space Nestled in our rural community in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this cozy one-level home, which we're proud to call our neighbor, exudes a unique charm. With three bedrooms, a compact yet functional bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living room, it's a snug haven for those seeking simplicity and tranquility. Step outside to find rustic yard and porch spaces where you can enjoy the beauty of our countryside together. As neighbors, we understand the allure of this peaceful setting and its quaint, older character. Despite its size, this home offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, allowing you to immerse yourself in the joys of rural living. And just a stone's throw away, the Blue Ridge Mountains await with their hiking trails and scenic vistas, providing the perfect backdrop for your shared adventures. Welcome to our close-knit community! Guest access The home is situated on over 490 acres of beautiful conservation land, providing ample opportunities for guests to explore the natural surroundings. Take a leisurely stroll through the forest, ramble along the creek, or sit by the fire and listen to the birds sing. At Wellspring Mountain, we love dogs, and your furry companions will be in heaven exploring the great outdoors. For all guests bringing their pup, we have an area near the bathhouse and the office building where you can rinse off your pup if you need to. Other things to note Please take note that this property was once an old boys camp and is an ongoing project. Located in the temperate deciduous forest of Saddle Mountain, our property is a wildlife and plant sanctuary. We prioritize maintaining a natural environment, so please remember to keep your cabin doors closed when loading and unloading your car. This will prevent critters from entering your space. We take cleaning seriously and have a thorough protocol in place. Before each stay, we disinfect every surface, including chairs and remotes. We also vacuum all rugs, furniture, drawers, and corners, clean all appliances, and wash and dry all linens, including the comforter, between every stay. We check all dishes to ensure they were properly cleaned, remove the trash, and mop the floors. Remember to enjoy the benefits of the natural environment while being cautious and knowledgeable about potentially harmful plants like poison ivy and wildlife such as black bear. Stay on marked trails, observe wildlife from a safe distance, and have a memorable time exploring the wonders of the Blue Ridge Mountains!
