We are located in the beautiful and secure neighborhood of Bairro Triunfo in Maputo - a largely expat community with fresh air and decent environment. By car, we are: 5 minutes from the beach 5 minutes from mares shopping mall 5-7 minutes from the tourist attraction fish market 5-8 minutes from Baia mall 7-10 minutes from the American international school, Portuguese School and the French School 12-15 from the city center 15-20 minutes from the airport 10 minutes from the nearest bus stop The space This is a very beautiful room with all you need for a comfortable stay. Your room has, among other things, a cable tv subscription, work desk/chair, electric kettle, AC, a spacious bathroom with bathtub and enclosed shower area, etc. The bathroom is private, not shared with any other guest. If you are lucky to be staying when the other Guest Cottage is not occupied you can freely enjoy its private swimming pool. We are located in one of the most secure areas of Maputo, home to senior government officials, military and para-military personnel, corporate executives and entrepreneurs. We are a warm couple that loves to welcome and host strangers. We may not meet often during your stay because it's a large house and we are both busy; and also want you to enjoy privacy. Other things to note PARKING There is safe parking inside the compound - only one car. FOREIGNER? If you are coming to Maputo for the first time, or are not familiar with Maputo, it is advisable to get a local sim card with data at the border/airport. This will aid your communication. But more importantly, a local number will help you utilize the local ride hailing service called YANGO. It's like Uber. it's more convenient, cheaper and safe if you don't have your own transport or you plan to move around with taxis. Once you get the local sim with data, download the app and submit your new local number when completing personal details. We wish you a lovely stay in Mozambique.
