University Residence - a new style of housing for university students. Ideal for those seeking safety and comfort. Our units are furnished and well ventilated. Well located - commerce, universities and city landmarks. Accommodation also suitable for short stays (tourism). We offer internet services and a 24-hour entrance. In the same place, there is an institution - União das Operárias de Jesus, where all net revenue is earmarked for vulnerable children. The space The location is privileged - 5 minutes from the subway, commerce and the city's main tourist attractions... and very close and accessible to the Universities UFRJ (Praia Vermelha), Unirio, IME, FGV, Veiga de Almeida (medicine), FACHA, Santa Úrsula... and also PUC and IBEMEC. The kitchen is communal and laundry, cleaning and internet services are available in the room. The pension has 71 (seventy-one) rooms divided into a four-story building and another building with two floors, with only about 10% destined for AIRBNB. In the latter building, the rooms are suites, with a private bathroom and a shared kitchen. All rooms are private and furnished. Hosting more than one guest in the same accommodation is not allowed. In the other building, the bathroom and kitchen are shared collectively, one per floor. The bathrooms are divided by boxes, preserving privacy. In the pension, in addition to the rooms for temporary accommodation, there are facilities for permanent housing. The rooms are well ventilated, with good lighting. Shared facilities are cleaned daily. Access to the pension is securely done through a gate that is open 24 hours a day. Guest access As there is no refrigerator in the kitchens on the floors, there is only one refrigerator located on the ground floor of the suites (cottages) that is available for storing goods (containers must be identified). Guests also have access to the internet (Wi-Fi). On weekdays, the preferred access is through Rua Clotilde Guimarães (back gate). On weekends, the preferred access is through Praia de Botafogo, 522/524 (i.e., through Colégio Imperial). During your stay There is a team of employees, who are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., always ready to provide information about the city and the neighborhood NOTE: As there is no service at the guesthouse on holidays and Sundays, requests for information and reservations will be answered on the first business day (mostly Mondays). Look for Cássia or Arlindo. Other things to note Bed and bath linens, dishes/cutlery and a cleaning kit are provided.
