Y Felin Lifio, Annex, Snowdonia.

Set amongst the Snowdonia National Park countryside, the annex offers a cosy, quiet retreat next to a garden stream and waterfall. Used as part of the original sawmill as a store room for the timber, this converted outbuilding has kept its historic character alongside modern features. The building is detached, self-contained & set away from the owner's house with a shared driveway and access up to Llyn Mair (only 15 mins away) from a garden entrance. The space The cottage has been fully refurbished to create a modern but cosy cottage feel. There is a wood- burning stove as well as electric heating. A double bed in a good sized room with a full en suite bathroom with a wet room style shower. Guests have a private patio area outside the cottage with a covered gazebo, table & chairs and BBQ. A TV with Freeview and DVD player with a selection of DVDs is set up in the living room. It is a 2 minute walk to The Oakley Arms pub which offers great food and drink options. Guests can also walk to Maentwrog via a wooded garden pathway and past The Oakley Arms. This walk is only 10 minutes and also has a pub (The Grapes) which also has great food and more lovely views. The cottage is approximately 4 miles from the nearest town, Penrhyndeudraeth and Portmeirion as well as another 6 miles to Porthmadog, home to the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway. Guest access Guests have direct access to many walks in the area which runs from the garden back gate. The cottage is set far away from the road so is quiet and is not overlooked. The driveway is away from the cottage and requires guests to walk up a steep hill so is not wheelchair accessible. Guests have a private patio area outside the cottage with a covered gazebo, table & chairs and BBQ. The cottage is accessed over two streams which have wooden bridges over them. In the wetter months (which in Wales is many) the walkways can be slippy so we ask guests to be careful when crossing the bridges and private patio.
