The national forest is across the main road from us, with a network of paths. The village of Soligny la Trappe or the Abbaye la Trappe are a few minutes from La Vallée by car, and a 15-20 minute walk on the forest paths. Soligny has a Proxi, very good butcher and baker, a bar, church, hairdresser. And nearby Moulins la Marche has an outstanding baker, too. Tourouvre is close by with supermarket, restaurants and other services plus and a great Friday market. Mortagne au Perche city of charm with restaurants, boutiques, antique stores and a Saturday green market is 15-20 minutes by car.
