Description

Beautiful base to explore the epic Yorkshire Dales and all within walking distance (5mins) of the village pub. The Cottage is set on the edge of the village as you drive out towards Grassington, it’s surrounded by the road / fields one side and the garden and working farm on the other. The location makes it a much quieter base than staying around the village green. The space The Cottage has two rooms downstairs, a dining kitchen and a living room. Both are spacious. The living room has a three seater sofa, an arm chair and an ottoman which can be used as additional seating. There is a wood burning stove. The kitchen has a washer dryer, a dish washer, Nespresso machine as well as the usual kitchen appliances. There is also a wine fridge! There are two double bedrooms, one en-suite both with kingsize beds. These look onto the garden and farm beyond and Burnsall Fell beyond that The third bedroom has sturdy bunkbeds (can sleep adults) and a lovely double aspect down the village with Simon Seat in the distance and to The Scuff opposite. The main bathroom has a bath and shower. Guest access The entire house is for your use. The outbuildings next to the oil tank and the patio area are not for guest use. Other things to note The Cottage has a working farm on one side of the property. The second bedroom looks down on a farm yard, in winter cows are in the shed next to the yard. There are farm dog kennels in the field next to the cottage and they do sometimes bark at night if a fox or similar is around. It's a working farm, the farmers are lovely and have lived in Burnsall for generations. Please do respect that they are working and farm vehicles will come by from time to time. The garden is secluded from the road - there is a small lawn and a patio with BBQ, dining table and chairs.
