The space Fell View Bassenthwaite is converted from a 17th century barn and has a home from home feel. The upside down cottage is located on the owners working hill farm 2 miles south east of Bassenthwaite, the upstairs living area benefits from fell views and exposed beams adding to the character. This is the perfect base to escape city living and recharge your batteries, relax in the garden shared with guests from Bassenthwaite Farm Cottage (rent together to sleep up to 9 people), it is the perfect all year round base to reconnect with nature and explore the beautiful countryside on the doorstep. Guest access The cottage has electric storage heaters and comprises: Ground floor bedrooms accessed via a few steps from the hall, double bedroom with fell views. Twin bedroom with zip link beds which can convert to a super king on request, there is also a wash basin. Family bathroom has shower over bath. First floor open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with characterful beams and windows framing the fell views, sofa and armchairs surround the electric coal effect fire and TV with DVD player and dining table. Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, freezer and microwave. The cottage is heated by night storage heaters and all electric, bed linen and towels are provided. Private parking for 2 cars.
