The space This beachfront villa is perched atop a gorgeous hillside overlooking a breathtaking and private beach. Located conveniently off of the 429 highway, you’re minutes from Rincon and many other local beaches, shops, restaurants, bars and surfing spots. This property and location is one of a kind – it’s natural – with local flora and fauna. Guests will see wild iguanas, beautiful horses, all kinds of tropical marine life, and a stunning variety of local birds. Enjoy the outdoors on the terrace with rocking chairs and tiki torches, or by sunning yourself ocean side from a green, grassy area elevated over the water, or down below on the white sand, beaches. This home is fully furnished with love and contains everything you need for a relaxing beach retreat. Guests have fresh linens, towels, and a fully equipped kitchen. Refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, juicer, coffee maker, and all kitchen supplies are provided to prepare meals at home. The living room has a comfy couch, rocking chair and a game table for guests to relax or plan their next adventure. Dining & Nightlife • Cocktails at Sunset o Horned Dorset Primavera (Rincon 00677, PR) ♣ Just a brief stroll by beach or less than 5 mins. by car, this is a gorgeous, historic chalet that’s ideal for a cocktail at sunset. o La Copa Llena (Black Eagle Marina, Rincon, 00677) ♣ This spot has a private beach and an amazing outdoor deck. The food is delicious, and the company is even better. o The Beach House (PR-413, Aguada, Rincon, 00602, PR) ♣ Situated atop Maria’s Beach and with views of the Faro Punta Higueras, this spot has spectacular sunset views. The food is fresh, and the cocktails are strong. Get here well before sunset to enjoy the views. Afterhours and during peak season, a lounge area opens upstairs and DJs set off the dancefloor. • Great Food & Company o La Cambija (Calle Cambija, Rincon, 00677, PR) ♣ An open-air, outdoor eatery that is bustling with tourists and locals alike. The food here is unrivaled, and it’s a great spot for drinks and a meal. o Pool Bar Sushi (Calle Vista Del Mar, Rincon, 00602, PR) ♣ If you love sushi and enjoy a unique dining experience, visit Pool Bar. It’s hidden away in a residential area, but it’s worth the hunt. Dine poolside with a huge, outdoor cinema screen playing epic surf documentaries. This is a cool spot for locals and it’s packed in the season. Also, by night, enjoy the bat show feeding on the mosquitos! o Roots (2-14 Cll Comercio, Rincon, 00677, PR) ♣ This cozy, art gallery restaurant has great food, live music, and a fun crowd. Stroll around the Rincon towncenter before or after dinner here. It’s especially fun on Thursday or Sunday evenings during the farmer’s market. Breakfast & Coffee • Café 413 (157B, Rincon, 00602) o Located right in the heart of Rincon’s town-center, this is a great option for any time of day, but breakfast is wonderful and filling here! Live music is also available during certain evenings. • Dulcis Vita Bakery and Coffee Shop (4 Cll Progreso, Rincon, 00677, PR) o Our favorite coffee spot! This is a great place for a quick snack or a light lunch (try the Maria panini!). The cupcakes are delightful, and they have free wifi. Also, right next door is Ocean State of Mind, my favorite local shop for clothing and beautiful souvenirs. • Sharana’s Bistro (Anasco, 00610, PR) o This coy, casual spot has delicious breakfast and it’s a great spot if you’re on your way out of Rincon. It’s less than 10 mins. from the villa. Pests Please note that since we are located on a tropical island, from time to time you may see a dead bug or two in the cottage, especially with warmer and warmer temperatures. This is normal, to be expected and cannot be avoided. Doors should remain closed when possible to minimize pests (i.e. when loading/unloading the car, taking out the trash or hanging out on the porch). Bugs can get inside easily, especially in warmer weather. The cottage is treated inside & out by a pest control company for your comfort and safety. We stay on top of this costly pest control so please help us keep it effective - thank you! Local Animals We love animals and rescued a Puerto Rican “sato” (stray dog), however we kindly ask that you do not feed any stray cats or dogs that are encountered in and around the property. If you feed them they stay and persistently seek more food which becomes difficult and uncomfortable for us as hosts and for other guests, especially those with severe allergies to animals.
