The space Grandvista is a gorgeous, architecturally unique mid-century modern time capsule, in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. Built in 1962, Grandvista has been well maintained and minimally modified. The living room, which is the main focus of the house, has a curved bank of floor to ceiling windows which showcase the beauties of nature, the Ohio River Valley, and the stellar Cincinnati skyline. The view is an integral part of this room, and its aesthetic impact on the space is both stunning and tranquil. There is no television in the living room. The dining room and kitchen maximize storage while utilizing natural wood and glass. Simplicity, functionality, and natural materials were key architectural design principles. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and tools. The three bedrooms are comfortable, and linens and bedding are high quality. Two bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. All bathrooms are stocked with a minimum of two sets of towels per guest and necessary paper and hygiene products. Each bedroom has a television. The deck, which is accessible from the living room, dining room, and one of the main level bedrooms, is not accessible to the ground. This allows the screened doors to be opened to fresh breezes while assuring privacy. A gas grill is located in the seating area outside the dining room. Hummingbird feeders and flower planters on the deck outside the living room windows provide the opportunity to observe these tiny wonders of nature feeding and performing their entertaining aerial antics. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house and deck, but may not access the garage, utility room, or storage closets, which are locked and identified with signage on the doors. There are two outdoor stone patios with seating. Smoking and vaping are only allowed in these two patio areas and the driveway. Guests should not attempt to go beyond the patios, driveway, and entry stairway as the hill is very steep and those areas are not maintained. Other things to note Due to the elevation of the main floor and deck, as well as many of the mid-century modern architectural features and construction methods which are not possible to child-proof or bring to modern safety standards, this property is not recommended for infants, children, or pets.
