Welcome to our stunning property boasting a breathtaking view towards the Lake Ohrid and the mountain Galicica. O-Residency is located on the road/hicking path close to Lagadin village, on altitude of 700m, 1km or 20 min. walk or 3 min. drive to the nearest beach and 11km to the center of Ohird town. This generously proportioned space is bathed in natural light and indulges in minimalist contemporary Scandic design. Owned and designed by a professor architect and one of many lovers of Ohrid Lake, it cleverly combines modernist interior, designer furniture, contemporary art, and soft furnishings with monochrome fabrics. All spaces appear very light and airy; sunlight enters the living room throughout the day, while the bedrooms are situated towards the side of the building, providing peacefulness. The apartment is situated within a larger complex with other designated outside spaces. There are a few houses on the side, but this house enjoys uninterrupted and one of the most breathtaking views of Ohrid Lake. The house is on the slopes of Galicica Mountain, a preserved national park, it is also situated on the hiking path, conveniently reachable by car, and also accessible via local bus services from Ohrid. The Tour: Access the property through large metal doors and carved stone stairs leading to the house. While climbing the sculpture-like stairs, the view opens up to a well-sized garden outlined with rosemary bushes and an elegant fence, providing both a framed view of the lake and safety. The large windows fill the white facade of the building, contrasting with the Galicica National Park mountains stretching at the back, flourishing in deep green and blue hues. The garden also features an olive tree, grass areas, and a backyard perfect for barbecues or children's play. Above the garage at the forefront of the property, there's a designated area for sunbathing with sunbathing furniture and a dining table, offering breathtaking lake views. Enter the house via a stone-paved courtyard path on the side of the building. Inside, find a hallway with large shoe and coat cupboard, as well as luggage storage. The flat's flooring is executed in deep red, orange, and brown stone, adding warmth to the otherwise classical modernistic white interior. The flat comprises two bedrooms and a toilet towards the side of the building, while the front features a large, studio-like living room with a seating area, dining area, and fully fitted kitchen, exiting directly to the large-scale terrace, designed in the same floor stone and elegant metal handrail. The living room feels spacious and generous, with L-shaped sofas providing fascinating views of the lake and nature. The dining area features classical Danish furniture, facing the lake view and large terrace glass sliding doors, while the kitchen incorporates a large fridge, ample counter space, an electric hob, an oven, and a large larder. Unfortunately, there's no dishwasher, but all kitchen essentials are provided, including Italian and French coffee makers. Step onto the private terrace through glass doors that stretch to the ceiling, offering panoramic views of the lake. Both bedrooms feature comfortable beds with soft bedding and Danish feather pillows and duvets. The master bedroom includes a 160 cm wide bed, side tables, a TV, and a large cupboard. While the slightly smaller second room has a 180 cm wide bed (which can be arranged as two single beds), bedside tables and a cupboard. The single toilet includes a standing shower, designated tiled space, a clothes washing machine, and laundry storage. New towels and all essentials are provided, including shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, a hairdryer, beach towels, an ironing board, an iron, and a mini steamer. Other things to note Preferred transport method: Although (limited) public transport does exist, a car (or electric scooters) would proved flexibility and ease of mobility; bicycles are an option for ambitious, exercise conscious individuals.... Policy on pets: No pets allowed (unless specifically agreed). The neighbor next door has a dog, and sometimes cats might disturb him, causing him to bark—but these situations usually last for about 20 minutes and then stop. Otherwise, the dog is very calm and sweet. We occasionally give him some food, and he’s always happy about that. Damages: As most of the bedding, towels, and kitchenware are from established Danish designers or other renowned brands, charges will apply for any missing items. Cleaning / Change of towels and linen: Additional cleaning and/or change of towels and bedlinen, etc, can be arranged for longer stays, for an additional fee (to be agreed according to the number of guests)
