ACTIVITIES ON THE PROPERTY: The options for relaxation and enjoyment are endless; Drink your morning coffee or an afternoon beer in the porch swing on the 50 ft long porch overlooking a stunningly expansive lake view. *Only during fall* - Cozy up around the warm fireplace which warms the entire home. Thermostat capable fireplaces and gas are on for the season as of October 15th, 2024 Christmas decorations and garland live from December 1st, 2024 Sit around a bonfire and roast marshmallows on the grassy terraces overlooking the water. Enjoy a long bubble bath in the Japanese soaking tub. Play board games or complete a puzzle while playing classics on the record player (an assortment of records are provided) Take a swim or float in the lake - in the calm Second Creek cove - lake bottom is gravel so you can walk right in and swim on the right side of the dock. My family and I like to go out in inner tubes, kayaks etc. since the water is calm, clean and easily accessed just steps from the front door down the gentle slope to the water. Once you’re here you can walk down the terraced slope to the water or down the gentle sloped driveway we sometimes use for jet skis that is entered beside the shed (both take less than 2 mins) WATER ACCESS FOR BOATS AND JET SKIS: Bring your own boats and jet skis and tie up at the property’s wooden pier or use the Waterloo public launch (5 mins drive) or Brush Creek Park public launch (10 mins drive). Wooden pier is simple/no frills so would advise using public launches. WORK FROM HOME AND REMOTE WORK: The house is equipped with AT&T broadband internet and WiFi. Perfect for a work from home staycation. Motorized standing desk and other remote work and office equipment such as printers are available upon request. WHAT TO BRING: The cabin is located 20-30 mins from the nearest major grocery store so make sure to stock up on groceries, charcoal etc. on your way. There is a small general store as well that is 5 mins away. **PLEASE NOTE: Dock is an older wooden dock which conferred with property at purchase - guests are advised to use the dock at their own risk. It has been periodically repaired and maintained and will be fully replaced with a larger one during winter 2024. Guest access You will have access to the entire main home and are free to use all of the amenities (grill, fire pit, wooden pier), fully stocked kitchen and furniture features in the home. Please note: Property has its own small wooden dock and a small sloped dirt driveway launch from beside a shed across the lawn down to the pier on the water. The floating dock with boat lift in some pictures is part of the edge of the neighbor’s property and is not included in this rental. The basement (not pictured) is still under construction and is not included in this rental at this time. It also monitored by a motion activated security system. Other things to note The property is cleaned and serviced by a professional cleaning company The house includes exterior motion activated security cameras, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, entry sensors etc. which are monitored remotely by a security company to alert the fire department and police in case of emergencies and suspicious or unauthorized activities These are in place to protect you, your valuables, and the property
