Welcome to our cozy backyard studio beside a lush park with majestic fig trees and vibrant birdlife. Thoughtfully designed for peace and comfort, it’s the perfect retreat to pause, breathe, and unwind. ⚠️ Please note before booking: • Kitchenette only (microwave, kettle & toaster — NO stove or oven) • Bathroom is external on the verandah (private for guests) • Studio is located on the same property as the main house • Host lives onsite The space The studio is a self-contained backyard space located on the same property as the main house. While thoughtfully positioned for privacy, it is not a fully detached standalone retreat and you’ll be sharing the property grounds. - Our property is located in the vibrant suburb of Mayfield in a friendly neighbourhood with neighbours close by, and the studio is part of our property where the host lives on site. - The studio is equipped with a kitchenette only (Microwave, Kettle, Coffee Machine), loft bed, sofa and work desk and is located adjacent to the main house. - Bathroom • Private guest bathroom (shower, toilet & sink) located externally on the verandah of the main house • Bathroom is exclusively yours during your stay • Washing machine is shared • Studio overlooks our shared backyard and a community park - The verandah of the main house is not a shared space, it will be used by the owners only. - Proximity to Newcastle CBD: Just a short 15 min drive where you can explore Newcastle's stunning beaches, vibrant dining scene, and cultural attractions. - Our house/studio is very conveniently located as it is close to 'everything', in particular if you are travelling by car up the coast or the other way down towards Sydney. What's included: - double bed (loft) - sofa - big work desk, good WiFi - air conditioner - dining bench + stools - appliances: Fridge, Microwave, Sandwich Press, Kettle, Nespresso Coffee Machine, Toaster - toilet, shower & washing machine (upstairs on the deck of main house) - free parking on street What's provided: doona, pillows, sheets & bedlinen, blankets, bath towels, bath mat, beach towels, beach chairs, yoga mat, bath robes, thongs, hot water bottle, coffee pods, basic cooking ingredients eg. oil/vinegar, coffee/tea, sugar, spices etc. Guest access You have your own private entry to the studio via the driveway on the right side of the main house. Keys can be found in the door of the studio. Please note that the loft bed is accessed via a sturdy ladder. Guests must feel confident climbing up and down and have adequate mobility and balance to do so safely. If for any reason the ladder doesn’t feel comfortable, I can quickly set up a spare single mattress on the lower level - just let me know. Your comfort and safety always come first.
