Located on a magnificent one hectare lot in the heart of the woods of the Sarthe countryside, our characterful cottage will be ideal for your quiet stay and 15 minutes from Le Mans. You will be seduced by its landscaped garden, large living room, 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Welcome to your home, welcome home! The space # Listing Completely renovated in 2024, the Futaie is a pretty 200m² characterful cottage that can accommodate up to 10 people (8 adults and 2 children) and offers its residents a warm living environment, combining the beautiful and the authentic. The interior spaces are generous and bright, while offering breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. Each of our rooms has its own world with noble materials and all have a beautiful view of the countryside and special care has been taken to choose high-end bedding. Every detail has been thought out to ensure the well-being of hosts! On the ground floor you will find a cozy living room of 75m² includes a living room with its fireplace (non-functional), a library and a dining area. In the continuity of the living space is a fully equipped kitchen to concoct tasty meals with local products. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with: Oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, dishes for 10 people. On the 1st floor, have been arranged: - two master suites each with a queen size bed (160x200cm), a bathroom with shower, private toilet and a TV screen; - a double bedroom with a queen size bed (160x200cm) and TV screen - a children's room with two single beds (90 x 190 cm) including one in a wooden cottage, the perfect place for children!; - a bathroom with bath and toilet (bathroom shared between the double bedroom and the children's room). On the 2nd floor you will find a beautiful attic master suite with king size bed (180x200cm), bathroom with bathtub, private toilet and TV screen. And for your comfort, we provide you with: - many services on request (cleaning during your stay, breakfast, etc.); - Baby equipment (bed and high chair) - a high-performance internet connection; - All bed linen and towels - an ironing board and iron - some basic grocery stores: coffee, tea, salt, pepper, etc. For prestige vehicles, a carport is present on the property and a secure electric gate protects the venue. For any rental longer than 4 nights, we ask that a weekly cleaning be provided by our team (additional 150€ per intervention, linen change included). #Garden The garden of La Futaie stretches around the house over 1 hectare of greenery bordered by woods and fields. The building is extended by the existence of a beautiful terrace on which a garden furniture is at your disposal. The woods that partly line the garden offer shade and coolness on warm sunny days. The garden brings other surprises to tenants as it is embellished with fruit trees that will give delicious fruits ready to be picked during the summer and the presence of horses around the property is a beautiful daily sight, appreciated by all nature lovers. You'll also enjoy playing pétanque (or whatever) on the boulodrome. Finally from the garden, it is very easy to reach the walking paths that crisscross the countryside around the cottage. For safety and nuisance reasons, barbecues are prohibited. #Surrounding area The Maison de la Futaie enjoys an ideal geographical location for young and old with a wide range of distractions close to the house to meet, rest and get away: - Outdoor enthusiasts will be delighted by the proximity to the forest and hiking trails, whether for a short walk in the countryside or for a more sporty walk, the hiking options near the cottage will satisfy lovers of nature and discovery; - for lovers of horseback riding, the European Pole of the horse organizes equestrian competitions; - a golf course, at Le Mans Golf Club, is also accessible every day; - for thrills, a few minutes away by car, an exciting tree climbing park awaits adventurers who can test their agility and take on suspended challenges in the trees; - for families, an educational farm is located at the Maison de la Prairie in the heart of the Bois de Changé, 5 minutes from the house: donkeys, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, aromatic garden and vegetable garden will be discovered in the middle of woods where one can easily walk or bike. In addition, history and culture enthusiasts will be able to explore the center of the city of Le Mans with its museums and medieval city. A few minutes from the cottage, the Sequoïa serves a creative and gourmet menu where the dishes consist of fresh and seasonal products and the dining room of the restaurant, its terraces, you will enjoy a very pleasant view of the park, the vegetable garden, the river and the woods.
