This small but mighty brand-new and clean studio lock-off suite is on a beautiful tree-lined street steps from Main St and some of Vancouver's best restaurants and shops. The central, walkable location is on a popular bike route with multiple transportation options and easy access to many Vancouver attractions, including downtown, Granville Island, Queen Elizabeth Park, and more. The neighbourhood has ample free parking (level-2 electric vehicle charging is also available for smaller vehicles). The space Our home is a new, environmentally friendly (netzero) 1/2 duplex. You will have access to a private lockoff suite and patio on the bottom floor with 9 ft ceilings and a separate entrance. The 300-square-foot suite is ideal for 1 or 2 guests. It includes a queen bed, a fully equipped kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, toaster, induction cooktop, smart TV, ultra-fast internet, and other essentials needed for a comfortable stay. There are hardwood floors with in-floor heating, and the basement suite stays cool in summer (the main home is air conditioned but not controllable from the suite). Laundry is not provided in the suite; an excellent and clean laundromat is a few blocks away (offering same-day drop-off or self-serve machines). Guest access Guests have a private entrance accessible through the side yard or back alley. There is a smart lockbox for self-serve check-in/check-out. Please note that there is a small flight of stairs (7 steps) at the entrance to the suite. Other things to note We are a small family with a 8-year-old living above the lockoff suite. We do our best to be quiet and respect guest privacy, but you may hear us getting ready in the morning (~7:30-9am) and early evening. The house will be quiet between 9:30pm-7am, and the neighbourhood is very peaceful. We have a presence sensor in the suite to help us know when guests are home, which can be unplugged and does not record audio, noise levels, or video. For stays of over five nights, we will provide complimentary (and mandatory) cleaning and linen changes every five nights. Our home has no gas connection, and no gas appliances - which is why there is no carbon monoxide alarm. The suite complies with all short-term rental rules for the City of Vancouver and British Columbia.
