Surround yourself with beauty - homestay is located at the base of snow covered Cordillera Blanca and Huascaran National Park. Staying at Homestay Lenin you will be one of the few travelers to reach beyond the Huaraz tourist bubble and connect with the generous and vibrant Quechua people as you are welcomed into their community at the foothills of the Cordillera Blanca. Nancy’s family have two rooms (two beds in each room) in their traditional adobe house. The community where you will be staying, Cashipampa, is Quechua and while there are no restaurants or shops nearby, you are only a short ride on public bus to the main city of Huaraz. Most of what you will find on your plate has come from their own fields...there are greenhouses for fresh veggies, fields of wheat and corn, chickens, sheep, cows, and even bees for sweet honey! Guest access There is a clean, porcelain western toilet next to your room, a separate shared shower next to the house and an ample water source in the family’s courtyard. Nancy has shared her homestay with many short and long term travelers and works at a popular ecolodge, therefore she is used to hosting a variety of travelers. You will have access to clean drinking water (boiled water), teas, amazing hot food, and a truly unique Peruvian experience. During your stay 1. Our guests should be true adventure seekers, patient, culturally immersive, go-with-the-flow, self-sufficient individuals. Staying here will remind you of Peru before Starbucks ;) 2.
