Super large lovely sunny room with king-size bed and en-suite, and a desk/lounge area in a highly desirable and leafy area of Bristol. The room is slightly separate to the rest of the house with windows on 3 sides and has tea, coffee, sugar, a kettle, toaster and mini fridge/freezer. We are a family of 4 (plus a very friendly dog) and you are welcome to use our kitchen and lounge/dining area for any meals you may wish to make. The space A lovely, large 1930's semi-detached home with front secluded off-street parking and sunny south-facing rear garden where there's plenty of space for a morning coffee or afternoon/evening drinks! We are near to the Downs (10 minute walk) and Stoke Lodge open space (2 minute walk) and within easy reach of Henleaze and Westbury-on-Trym village amenities. The city centre is easily reached via a local bus service which picks up/drops off almost directly opposite our house and we are only a 15 minute car journey to the M5/M4 and the Cribbs Causeway retail park. We are also less than 3 miles from the key hospitals; Southmead Hospital, Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI), St Michael's, Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, and Bristol Eye Hospital. Bristol University main campus is also only 3 miles away. Guest access The room is accessed via the main front door, then it is up a flight of stairs and is the full length of the house, with windows on 3 sides with the en-suite to the rear overlooking the back garden. We are in an ideal location between Henleaze, Stoke Bishop and Westbury-on-Trym so there are loads of amenities near by, including a Waitrose and a Scott Cinema. There are also lots of nice pubs and eateries all close by and if you want to leave the car behind, there is a local bus which can be taken almost directly opposite the house. The centre is approximately a 15 minute drive away by car, as is the M4/M5. We are also very near the Clifton Downs for any avid walkers/runners as it's a beautiful open space leading to the Avon Gorge with the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of Leigh Woods opposite the Gorge, which can be accessed via the iconic Brunel's Suspension Bridge. We are also fortunate enough to have a lot of other parks and green space very close by, so there's always a different place to explore! During your stay We both work from home so are generally usually around to answer any questions you have and we're always ready to help in any way we can. We have hosted international students for many years, so are happy to be led by you as to how much interaction you have with us. Other things to note We have a Portuguese Water Dog who is very friendly and is also hypo-allergenic as he doesn't shed fur, but be prepared to be very welcomed to our home each and every time you enter!
