The suite is centrally located in Northern Michigan... only 30 min - 1 hr from Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petoskey, Gaylord, Grayling and Cadillac, making it the perfect home base for day trips to area attractions! The space Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood on a 1/2 mile long dead end gravel road, Log Lake Suite offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience for your next getaway! Step inside to discover a cozy and well-appointed space, thoughtfully designed to ensure a relaxing stay. The suite features a queen-sized bed with a 10" memory foam mattress, a comfortable living room, an office nook with a charging tower, washer and dryer, and a fully equipped kitchenette with everything but an oven, perfect for preparing simple meals and snacks. After a day of exploring the scenic beauty of Northern Michigan, unwind on the private patio or take a leisurely stroll around the peaceful neighborhood. With easy access to ATV trails, snowmobile trails, fishing spots, regular golf and free disc golf, kayaks, paddle boards and tubes, there's no shortage of activities to enjoy during your stay. And in case of inclement weather, use the two Roku TVs to sign into your streaming accounts for the duration of your stay or watch Live TV or various free streaming channels, all of which will be automatically cleared on the check out date that you choose. Guest access Guests have access to the entire private suite, the patio and the yard. You will find a fire pit in the backyard that you are welcome to use. Firewood and camp chairs will always be available. The backyard is a shared space with the owners. We will try to give you your privacy, but you may see one of us around from time to time. The access to Log Lake is a private access for all residents of Poplar Dr and their guests. This includes you as our guests. We ask that you please be considerate of the neighbors including no loud music on the lake access and no trespassing on private property. The public beach is on the other side of the lake inside the county run campground, about a half mile away. Other things to note We live onsite in one half of the house but you have your own driveway and completely private patio and entrance on the opposite end of the house from ours. Like any duplex, there is a shared wall. Even though the walls, ceilings and doors have been thoroughly insulated, you may hear us from time to time, or hear our shower run or toilet flush. In case you are a light sleeper, we have provided a white noise machine for your use. You will find it in the drawer of the right hand bedroom nightstand. Also, for your peace of mind, the adjoining door to our residence locks, not only from the guest's side, but we also have a padlock on our side. The 450 sq ft space feels comfortable due to a vaulted ceiling in the main living area. Please note, however, that there is not enough space to fit a pac ‘n play with the sofa sleeper made into a bed. If you have an infant in a pac ‘n play and were planning to put another child or adult on the pulled out sleeper sofa, it will not work. In that instance, we can offer a single 18” tall air mattress, but you will need to let us know before check-in. Please keep in mind that we run on septic. So please do not flush ANYTHING that isn't toilet paper, not even 'flushable' wipes. We do not have a trash compactor so please throw excess food in the trash. Also, let any cooking grease cool down and then throw it in the trash too once it has solidified. Thanks!
