Unplugged Ompah Escape: Rustic Cabin & Sauna

Our cozy, open-concept cabin is an entirely solar-powered, sustainable forest escape set on 3 private acres. Designed for a true digital detox, this retreat is the perfect place to unplug from the world, enjoy the private sauna, and reconnect with nature. It is ideal for couples or families with older children. Please note that the winding staircase to the sleeping loft may be challenging for toddlers or guests with mobility needs. The space Layout & Sleeping Arrangements The cabin is open-plan- The only room with a closing door is the bathroom. Windows feature an open forest view with no curtains (bathroom excluded). Enjoy waking up to natural sunrise light! The Sleeping Loft: Features two single beds (can be pushed together to form a King) plus one folding foam double mattress. Access is via a winding staircase. Living Room: The couch folds down into an additional double bed. BYO Linens: Sheets, blankets, towels, and pillows are NOT provided. Please ensure you bring your own bedding for your stay! Kitchen & Cooking No Stove: The kitchen is fully equipped for meals but does not have a traditional stove. You will have full access to a microwave, toaster oven, slow cooker, and an outdoor gas BBQ. Supplies: We provide your initial garbage bags and toilet paper. Connectivity & Terrain Digital Detox: There is no Wi-Fi at the cabin. Cell Signal: Bell and Telus networks get decent coverage. Rogers and Fido users will experience a weak or non-existent signal due to local tower limitations. The Driveway: Our driveway is a rugged, rustic woods path. Low-clearance vehicles should navigate the gravel and rock slowly. Nature's Neighbors: We are in the deep woods! While we clean thoroughly between guests, bugs, flies, and critters are a natural part of the outdoor experience. 5-Minute Walk to Beach: We are not waterfront, but a beautiful, public, shallow-entry beach is just a 5-minute walk down the road. Water Gear Included: We provide an inflatable Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP), an inflatable double kayak, and lifejackets. Please bring your own beach towels! The property backs directly onto a recreational trail. We are also less than a 10-minute drive from Palmerston Canonto Conservation Area for premium hiking and ATV trails. Other things to note LCBO, small grocery store and restaurant are a 10 min drive away in Plevna. A bigger grocery store is 35 mins away in Northbrook There is a marina store that sells snacks and ice cream at the Palmerston Lake Marina and a BBQ food truck across the street in the Parking lot of the Motel.
