Welcome to lush Själsbo, in the countryside, close to the city. Magical sunsets, beautiful walks by the sea. Morning swim in the harbor, day on Brissund beach. Coffee at Själsö bakery. Dinner at Krusmyntagården and an evening dip on the way home at sunset. A bit like a hotel with beds made, towels, lovely soap, shampoo and conditioner and you don't have to clean when you leave. Cozy, fresh, small but spacious, private bedrooms (2) + sofa bed, patios, parking, electric car charging, 4 bicycles of which 1 tandem. Here, we enjoy! The space Welcome to Själsbo where we enjoy country, nature and city! Själsö bakery/Själsö harbor 1.8 km Brissund sand beach 2 Restaurant, bar and shop Krusmyntagården 2,5 Salthamn restaurant and shop 4 Visby with all the offerings in a medium-sized city, summer time 8 Lummelunda 5 Bicycles are loaned out, 4, of which one is a tandem Hallway and bathroom with washing machine You enter a small hallway with hanging and shoe rack. On the left there is relatively spacious bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine, drying rack is available. Living Room and kitchen in one Then you will enter the living room and kitchen in one. The small kitchen contains the necessary with combi oven micro/oven, small dishwasher, refrigerator with small freezer compartment, small stove. Porcelain, cutlery and serving dishes/bowls, wine champagne glasses, etc., kettle, coffee press, coffee maker and other kitchen equipment. The living room has a comfortable sofa bed with coffee table and two stylish armchairs. Note if you choose to stay 6 people in the cabin, two people sleep in the combined kitchen/living room. There are four seats by the kitchen island and then place in the sofa. Outdoors there is space for six people to eat. From the living room, you can access the tree deck with a seating area, and there are two "fatboys" hanging on the wall to take out and relax or sunbathe in, as the deck has a southwestern location. There is also a dining table for six people. In the evening you can watch the sunset by the sea between the trees. (The sea is not visible) From the kitchen, you can access the second patio with a small grill. Bedroom First on the right there is the bedroom with a very stable bunk bed where even adults can sleep comfortably. You can put an available mattress on the floor for one person if you prefer to have sleeping in the living room. Plenty of storage with three closets and a cleaning cabinet. There are also some games in the cabinets. The next bedroom has a comfortable double bed 160 cm wide, with a nice and soft velvet-covered headboard. The bedroom has four wardrobes, one with extra bedding. Outside There is a wooden deck in the west position with a small lounge furniture, there are two “fat boys” to relax in (hanging on the facade around the corner). There is a small patio off the kitchen with a table and chairs and a grill, charcoal etc arrange the guest with themselves. The grill should be on the cement plates that are outside the kitchen and not too close to the lilac bushes. The plot around the small cottage is wild and beautiful, we just mow there and let flowers and grass grow wild🌱🌸, 🐝🐝 to thrive and help us pollinate. Outside the house, there are cherry, plum and apple trees, among other things. We will agree on how to take fruit and berries from these. Parking There is space for two cars. Electric car charging at the larger house with additional cost upon request. Bed linens and cleaning There are bed linens and towels for indoor use, i.e. not to take to the beach, you bring them yourself. Please leave the house in the condition you arrived in. However, cleaning is done by the landlord/cleaning company that the visitor pays for (see at booking). Surroundings and environment Soul Island The house is located on Själsö, on the border of Brissund. On Själsö there is still an active harbor that is very cozy where you can walk to along the pebble beach. You first walk through the small beautiful pine forest where the sun seeps down between the trees. The forest ends with a small portal of martals (pine trees that are so beautifully crooked by the hard winds of autumn/winter time) that then opens up in a magical light from the sea. You go to the left to walk on the stone path along the sea to Själsö harbor, it is about 1.5 km. Here is nature as it is, the limestone and the open sea give a fantastic light all year round. On the way, you go through a meadow with lambs, they are best met in the evening and are incredibly cute. In the harbor are fishing boats and there are fishing houses that are inherited over generations. It is possible to buy fish in the summer in a small wagon. The harbor is also popular for swimming, but good to consider is that it is primarily a harbor and the boats take precedence, so you have to keep an eye out. Above the harbor there is well known and well-attended SJÄLSÖ BAKERY. The bakery bakes with organic ingredients. There you can buy good breakfast packages morning time, which then turns into magically good lunch sandwiches. The buns and pastries are to die for! You can both sit outside and enjoy, where even a sandbox is available for the little ones, as well as a boule court and a ping pong table, you can also sit inside a rainy day, so cozy! An alternative to walking along the beach is to walk, bike or drive on the small road, through the alley, where we take it easy and let walkers and cyclists have priority when the road is narrow. If you have small children, you are welcome to borrow the backpack that is really good to carry in the terrain. Brissund, beach, restaurant, bar and shop Krusmyntagården If you instead go to the right when you come out of the forest, you first walk a gravel road along the beach that passes to a path that occasionally crosses the plots, but it is common so you have to go there, but of course we show respect for those who live there. It is cozy to walk along the beach which will soon be sandy beach with the possibility of swimming. Then come the fishing huts in Brissund, more modern but cute little red cottages. Next comes THE BEACH in Brissund which is a cozy small sandy beach with small dunes. Here, dogs can also be included. It is about 2.5 km from the house. After the beach, you come to Krusmyntagården, which is open during the high season and is a perfect way to end the day on the beach (book a table). Children are more than welcome, there is a playground as well as a shop with spices, decor etc. The restaurant at Krusmyntagården is also open at times during the year, see their website. In the summer, they have popular barbecue evenings booked digitally on their websites. Walking home on the beach after a lovely day is magically lovely! An alternative is to bike or drive. Salthamn If you continue north, either walking/hiking on the beach or cycling or driving on road 149, you will come to Salthamn where you will find a cool restaurant Salthamn wildfood & café, where there is also a clothing and interior design store. Visby The medieval town of Visby probably doesn't need closer presentation. Fantastic nice little town with history, good food and drinks and everything else you could need. 8 km south of the cottage. There is also a bus up on the main road 800 meters. Happy to help with tips for farm shops, restaurants, hiking, etc. Guest access The small house with its associated balconies, garden and 2 parking spaces are at the guest's disposal. Electric car charging is also available at your own expense upon request.
