Benmore is a lovely traditional Dales holiday cottage, for up to 6 people; newly renovated with a relaxed style and contemporary amenities and full of character. Set in the delightful village of Gunnerside and steps away from the community owned pub, the cottage is perfectly placed for exploring all that Swaledale has to offer. Benmore has a pretty back garden looking up to the fells. The space Downstairs Fully equipped kitchen diner with electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. Dining table with seating for six. Hallway with boot storage and coat hooks. Master bedroom with Super King zip and link (can be made up as twin beds by request). Luxury bathroom with shower bath, vanity unit and WC. Lounge with two settees and an armchair and coffee table. Newly installed log burning stove. Smart TV (Netflix included), music system. Lots of local interest books, maps and walking/cycling suggestions. Board games and books Upstairs * Double bedroom with King size bed and two windows overlooking the village and beyond. * Double bedroom with double bed and delightful views over the garden and up Dale. * Luxury shower room, with shower, vanity unit and WC. Outside * Back garden with table and chairs and barbecue. Log store * Secure bike storage in stone shed opposite Benmore. * Parking opposite Benmore on the road or in the village parking area. The community owned village pub, The Kings Head, is over the ancient bridge, just steps away. Real ales and home cooked food. Ghyllfoot Tearoom offers delicious food, coffee and Yorkshire tea. Gunnerside is on The Swale Trail cycling route. Bike hire at the Dales Bike Centre (and cakery), in Reeth. This is prime walking country; The village is on the Coast to Coast route and The Pennine Way is very close. Gunnerside Gill walk starts in the village taking in ancient lead mining ruins, and walking through woods and past waterfalls. There are numerous walks from the door, including shorter loops, great with children and the dog, alongside the river and through pretty meadows. The Tour de France came through Gunnerside in 2014 and there are wonderful road cycling and mountain biking routes throughout Swaledale and Wensleydale. One medium-sized dog is welcome.
